25. Perception with Rita Chen Fujisawa

from Humans of Authenticity · host Vy Le

Happy Asian American Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islander Heritage Month (AANHPI) Heritage Month. In my attempt to platform all the amazing AANHPI leaders and friends around me, I'm dedicating the coming Sundays to introducing a few special guests. This episode of Humans of Authenticity features Rita Chen Fujisawa, MBA, CAE, the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at the California Association of Health Facilities. Rita shares her story of being a second-generation Chinese American, and I really love how she was able to embrace her cultural values. As we discuss her personal and professional growth, I feel like this is a blueprint for introverts to thrive. She discusses the challenges of exploring different cultures, as simple as setting the table for dinners. We look at how perspectives can shape our interactions and self-image. The discussion also covers the value of expressing ourselves and connection with others through hobbies like card making and the power of reflection and thoughtful communication. I hope you will enjoy this episode.
