25. Pessimism with Matthew M. Bartlett!

Matthew M. Bartlett (author of Gateways to Abomination) hates happy endings. In this week's episode of Ghoulish, we got together and discussed why pessimism rules and optimism drools. Films and stories referenced: A Dark Song, The Mist, The Witch, and "The Rats in the Walls"—and yes, we absolutely had to hit the brakes for a quick conversation about Lovecraft's cat. Yikes. ALSO: There's a reason Morgan Freeman hasn't narrated a Thomas Ligotti story. Order Secret Gateways. Order Tales from the Crust: A Pizza Horror Anthology. Pre-order my new novel, Touch the Night.
