25 - Phelan Barreiro / Cynik Lethal

Phelan Barreiro is a producer and artist from Pittsburgh, PA. He has had successful roles as an emcee and music producer (Cynik Lethal), and now as the visionary producer of the comic @awickedtail for which he also created the score. He also created the legendary event @theritualpgh and works in activism locally. Our conversation spans from pgh rap history (rostrum records, Mac and Wiz) to marijuana history in the US and the influence of rap artists, to time travel and the future of our species. Phelan is one of the sharpest individuals Ive had on the podcast, leaving breadcrumbs I’ve been following for weeks now in preparation for this release, and I look forward to many more discussions with him in the future. You can follow him on instagram at @CynikLethal for more information about his exciting work. @Kelleemaize @MrSmallsTheatre @MHTheVerb @OmarAbdul_r._lawrence @KufKnotz @PhillyFreeway #DeadlyScribes @EMMAI_ALAQUIVA @Selecta720 @BridgeMusicBar @KrisHollis @Theeesoviet @CamoCustomz @Baron_Batch @MajorTriad @CliqueVodka @FrankieFaded @DJFemi412 @WadeAnthonyJr @DJAlexRivera412 @DJYamez @DJMcfly @BukuDatDude @DJBonics @WizKhalifa @TISChristo @AvatarBenji @Jasiri_x @KhariMosley @MeatCanyon #AntiAnimation @TheMidnightGospel @IamCarlJones @JazzSurgeryTC @BenOpieMusic @th.o.th.trio @TomLarkin #Blerd #Manga #Animation @__rsk___ @Borgore @GetNastyDJ @ChristyBurik @JerryFeelsGood @OyoEllis @KillerOfSheep @MiEmpenadaPgh #JudasandtheBlackMessiah @AzealiaBanksForever @RedBullMusic @TheRitualPgh @Chromeo @BenjyBenjy @RostrumRecords @Views_From_The_White @Berner415 @CookiesinNYC @BrilloboxPgh @SpiritPgh @MixtapePgh @JuicyJ @TyDollaSign
