25. Shemini-Parah: G-d's Coliseum ~Pleasuring the King

"You formed this Leviatan with which to sport.” -Psalms 104:26 What is the Leviatan, and what is the sporting event that the verse is speaking of? "The animals [the Wild Ox] and the Leviatan they are the sport of the righteous in the World to Come...The Wild Ox will gore the Leviatan with its horn and tear it, and the Leviatan will slaughter the Wild Ox with its fins. " -Leviticus Rabah: Portion 13:3 This sporting event between the Wild Ox and the Leviatan is what will provide the food for the feast that we will have when Moshiach comes. At this meal they will drink from the Guarded Wine (“wine which has been preserved in its grapes from the six days of Creation”) and eat from the Leviatan (sea-creature), and from the Wild Ox. So there is the Leviatan Sea Creature, the Wild Ox Land Creature, and the sporting event ends with at the last minute with the Leviatan slaughters the Wild Ox with its fin, and we eat!
