25. Untouchable -Creating Consistency Of Self In Our Life

Why is it so within human nature to struggle with consistency?! To me, it seems as if only the chosen few were blessed with the personality profile groomed for consistency, and it comes with such a heavy price upon other areas of the personality profile, that it makes someone like me grateful that I am not so blessed! This is what we are going to explore here, from a Kabbalistic and Chassidic perspective, and more importantly, we are going to explore what to do about it. The answer to the why, in a nutshell, is that the human experience of life is on the emotional level, which is subject to continuous evolution, and restructuring of our emotional balance throughout our life, year, month, week, day, and even hour. The primary definition of self, in accordance to Kabbalah and Chassidus is our emotions. What differs between the Animal Kingdom and the Human Race is not the Cortex of our brain as we intellectually contemplate abstract concepts, but as it impacts our experience of emotions. Nature’s Laws of emotions is what truly dictates our experience of life. Thus, it is important to explore Nature’s Laws that govern over emotions. This is what we will do tonight, from the Bird’s-eye view of the Torah as taught in the mystical teachings of Chassidus.
