251 - Martyrs (2008) Review
from The Final Podcast · host The Final Podcast
Lucie, tortured as a young girl 15 years prior, attempts revenge on her captors, leading her friend, Anna, to be swept up in a plot with otherworldly implications. Martyrs is a horror revenge movie unlike no other. This film depicts a cult seeking answers regarding the afterlife and delves into the depraved torture of humans to find these answers. The film's atmosphere is so bleak and does a great job of pivoting from a revenge plot to the captors' purpose, while remaining thoroughly entertaining and original.
