251 - Richard Skipper Returns

Richard Skipper was born in Conway, South Carolina in the early 1960's. He made his on-stage debut as a young boy in Mame with Conway's Theatre of the Republic in 1974. Skipper's love of the theatre, performance and the arts in general has been a lifelong one. He made up his mind on August 5, 1974 that 5 years from that day he would go to New York to pursue his life in show business. He DID just that. At 18 years of age, right out of high school he went to the Big Apple with a mere $500 in his pocket. He had never been far from Conway, South Carolina! Clearly, Richard Skipper is someone who is not afraid to really live his life! Since arriving in New York, he's been called "Mr. Entertainment" by many. His experiences have included acting, singing, celebrity interviews, writing a successful blog, promoting and producing. He has become friends and associates with some of the most iconic people in arts and entertainment.

For one night only, on August 5, 2019, Richard Skipper will be performing a brand new show celebrating his arrival to New York. Directed by Jay Rogers and with Bryon Sommers on piano, Richard Skipper will be commemorating the story of "From Conway to Broadway." The show is at 8:00 PM at the St. Luke's Theatre located at 308 W. 46th St. in New York, New York. The at times hilarious and sometimes poignant story will be told with musical performances.

It's a pleasure to present the return appearance of the incredible Richard Skipper. It's only here on The Paul Leslie Hour.

The Paul McGregor Podcast Paul McGregor On the 4th March 2009, my life changed forever. My Dad, the man I looked up too, the man who in my eyes had 'everything' on paper took his own life. After it happened I struggled to deal with the grief, I buried the pain and found myself asking the question 'why' over and over again. I too then found myself struggling with depression and anxiety. This Podcast is all about documenting not only my own personal journey to discovering more about mental health and suicide, but to also document other stories too. It's time to talk about mental health, it's time to give it the voice it deserves and hopefully this Podcast can provide that. Hopefully this Podcast helps show others that they're not alone...Paul McGregor is an author, lecturer, a mental health advocate, husband, Father of 2 and avid Liverpool supporter. He shares daily content, giving mental health a voice across multiple social platforms and through speaking and workshops across the UK.<p style='color:grey; THE PAUL HALME AUDIO ADVENTURE Paul Halme Business, Fitness and Fun!
