#251 - Richard Skipper Returns

from The Paul Leslie Hour

251 - Richard Skipper Returns Richard Skipper was born in Conway, South Carolina in the early 1960's. He made his on-stage debut as a young boy in Mame with Conway's Theatre of the Republic in 1974. Skipper's love of the theatre, performance and the arts in general has been a lifelong one. He made up his mind on August 5, 1974 that 5 years from that day he would go to New York to pursue his life in show business. He DID just that. At 18 years of age, right out of high school he went to the Big Apple with a mere $500 in his pocket. He had never been far from Conway, South Carolina! Clearly, Richard Skipper is someone who is not afraid to really live his life! Since arriving in New York, he's been called "Mr. Entertainment" by many. His experiences have included acting, singing, celebrity interviews, writing a successful blog, promoting and producing. He has become friends and associates with some of the most iconic people in arts and entertainment. For one night only, on August 5, 2019, Richard Skipper will be performing a brand new show celebrating his arrival to New York. Directed by Jay Rogers and with Bryon Sommers on piano, Richard Skipper will be commemorating the story of "From Conway to Broadway." The show is at 8:00 PM at the St. Luke's Theatre located at 308 W. 46th St. in New York, New York. The at times hilarious and sometimes poignant story will be told with musical performances. It's a pleasure to present the return appearance of the incredible Richard Skipper. It's only here on The Paul Leslie Hour.
