Dividend Withholding Tax (DWT) up from 15% to 20%. Capital gains tax (CGT), company tax & VAT - no change. New top tax bracket at 45% for those earning over R1.5million. Sugar - still on the cards. Petrol - +39c. Relief will be provided in the threshold above which transfer duty is paid from R750 000 to R900 000. Social grants; The old age grant will increase R1600 for pensioners over the age of 60, and R1620 for those over 75. The disability and care grants increase to R1600.
