253 - How to practice emotional regulation with kids with Dr. Tina Payne Bryson
from Voices of Your Village · host Seed & Sew
Welcome back to Voices of Your Village, and I got to hang out with one of my heroes, Dr. Tina Payne Bryson. She is the co-author of one of my favorite books, The Whole Brain Child, and has authored and co-authored many books beyond that that we dive into in this episode. We got to chat about risk management. And y'all, this is something I feel really passionate about because we get to teach kids what it looks like to listen to their inner voice, and to cultivate that, and to lean on it, to say like, do I feel safe in this situation, and how do I navigate risk? How do I make this call for myself to say, hey, I need help, or I'm gonna be brave, and I can take a risk here? Looking at how to help foster that voice and support it. I am so grateful for the opportunity to get to dive into this conversation with someone that I have so much respect and love for. Dr. Tina Payne Bryson is someone that I truly, like, we mention her in our book and quote her because her work has been so influential in the work that I get to do.
