255 Jack the Ripper

After 255 episodes we're just surprised as you that we haven't covered this one yet! But here we are 2022 , the year of our Lord, covering what is probably the MOST FAMOUS "true crime" legend of all time....JACK THE RIPPER. I'd say probably the most famous serial killer as well. Jack's ripping spree spanned between August - November of 1888 in the East End neighborhood of London known as "White Chapel".  All of Jack's victims were women of the same ilk. Alcoholic Prostitutes who no longer had substantial ties to their families. There's some debate that he may have begun killing  earlier in the year as there were 11  violent murders against women that spanned from April of 1888-February of 1889. These murders were conveniently labeled as the "White Chapel Murders" However, there are 5 core murders that most experts agree were definitely his , the "Canonical 5".
