Now I can read the half of it and know the half I learned was exactly what I'd need. Fragmented, sure. Confusing, yes. But still right at the edge of what I can just reach. Every finished task clicks into the next one — brick into brick into brick into brick. [Chorus] Glue yourself down to the chair, bother your friends till they help you get there. The old work holds up the new work. I'm alive while I'm building this structure. [Verse 2] I used to draw the domain, argue the model, decide where reality gets to be smaller. That pushed me out toward the philosophical fog — all those big open questions, all that gorgeous dread. Now someone solved the math a long time ago and left me beautiful little boxes to fill. I pack my small tasks into the given shapes. I find it, honestly, very calming. [Chorus] Glue yourself down to the chair, bother your friends till they help you get there. The old work holds up the new work. I'm alive while I'm building this structure. [Bridge] I used to write posts that cleared my head, two a year, and the world got a little less blurred. Now I just log what I did and that I liked it. No theory. No thesis. Just: I understood. [Outro] No philosophy of language yet. But the system is holding. And I am in it.
