1. See differently. How do you treat people who are different than you? We instantly make judgments about those we encounter. If appearance has determined our affection, then the gospel has not shaped our vision. 2. Value differently. When the church honors the people the world honors, it has forgotten whose kingdom it belongs to. 3. Live differently. “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Matthew 22: 39 We do not get to edit God’s commands without diminishing God’s authority. 4. Prepare differently. Those transformed by mercy become merciful. A church that measures people by appearance has forgotten how God measured them at Calvary.
