Estamos en mitad de la primavera y a ella va dedicado este capítulo. Aunque el cambio climático ha hecho que las estaciones del año no sean tan marcadas y diferentes como antaño, los aires primaverales siguen siendo un signo de inicio y de renovación. Los enamorados se dedican poemas, los alérgicos estornudan, las orugas invaden los parques y los compositores nos deleitan con canciones que nos llenan de alegría, de tristeza, de nostalgia y de esperanza.
