26 | Finding a Career that Aligns with a Fulfilling Life with Itiah Thomas

from Shine at Work®

In this week's episode, I speak with Itiah who after 11 years in construction realized it was not allowing her to bring her genuine self to her job.  She found herself burnt out and in a place where she was not living the life she wanted.  So she took a step back, thought about the skills she enjoyed using and what was important to her in her personal life (spoiler alert, it includes the flexibility for travel!) and found a new career in UX.  Itiah is a great story teller and has always known she wanted to work with "space" somehow - it just went from "outer space, physical space to virtual space".  And now she takes her experiences to encourage other to make career changes.  Check out the info below in her bio about her next cohort of Career Upgrade! As always, please consider subscribing, leaving a rating and review and sharing this podcast and the whole series with others.  We do this podcast to help spread the word that everyone can get unstuck and find the thing that brings them joy in their careers.  If our guests can do it, you can too!  Check out our Facebook page: Career Changers for more tips!  And I'm running a special for my Teachable course that dives into each step in order to make a career change!
