26. HOST (2020) & DASHCAM (2022): Rob Savage's Covid Duo

Rob Savage broke through the horror indie scene with 2020's screen horror ghost flick "Host," released at the pandemic's fever pitch of quarantines and lockdowns. By filming on Zoom and addressing the pandemic head-on, Savage became one of the few filmmakers to fully tackle the events of the day (more like a year and a half, but whatever). HIs found footage/livestream follow-up, "Dashcam," further explores the pandemic's potential as a horror backdrop.
