26 Mean Old Lady

from Shakin' The Salt · host Dr. Debra Peppers

When I was young I never thought about why an old person was mean. I just knew that my friends and I would try to get even with them, tease them, even harm their grass or flowers when we had a chance. How horrible to even think we did that now. We didn’t stop to think they were crabby because they didn’t have family or friends, or perhaps because they were in pain, or even because they had perhaps had a recent tragedy in their life! All we knew was the way they treated us, so we wanted revenge. Now that we are the “old” people so to speak, we must constantly strive to not be mean and crabby, to not be constant complainers, and to always remember what it was like to be small children with crabby old people being mean to us. The Golden Rule applies to ALL ages – “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you!” Support the showSupport our ministry by clicking "Support the show" above where you will be directed to our website.
