26. Nate & Ivy Barcalow (Finch, Private Lives)

My chat with Nate and Ivy Barcalow where we discuss how the couple met almost 20 years ago, some of Nate's first bands as well as a more rounded look into what the early success of Finch looked like from the perspective of significant other, and how being away from your loved one effects both parties while being out on tour. We talk a bit about my favorite Finch album, Say Hello To Sunshine, and go behind the scenes of the band during that time frame, and discuss how it was widely considered to be a commercial flop and how Ivy and Nate dealt with a some of the issues stemming from the band breaking up. We also chat about Nate's new project, Private Lives, and how Ivy is involved with that and what we can expect from the new band overall.
