You might notice that my voice is a bit off and that's because of the smoke that we've being experiencing due to the wildfires, which really affected my throat. I'll talk more about this on another episode - maybe next week. Today's final installment of my return to "The Pink Moon Podcast" I share with you a story that I wrote based on a Nawa legend, "The Takwatzin" (the opposum). As I mentioned in the episode, it's a very old story that was told to my class by our Nawat teacher, Hector Martinez from "Timumachtikan Nawat", and I just took creative liberties to create my own version of the story. The name "Atnawa" was another name they had, or it was another community - I am not sure if the whole story, so please forgive me for not making that correction on the audio.I also forgot to mention that the Nawa culture does not have gods, they were called "Lords" or "Ladies", more or less a different type of entities - not humans.
