from Cinema Scum · host Cinema Scum Podcast

This week, Anna and Oli return to horror and talk the latest instalment in the Scream franchise, Scream 6 (2023). After surviving the Ghostface murders of the previous film, sisters Sam and Tara move to NYC to start fresh, attend college and escape their horrible, traumatic past. Unfortunately, what they cannot escape from is the conspiracies and reputation they have garnered online following these attacks, which leaves them as prime targets for the recently relocated new Ghostface killer. A staple of the horror genre, this film franchise embraces a meta awareness of its own medium and genre, and was shot in Montreal in locations deeply nostalgic to both Anna and Oli.
