26. Tazriah-HaChodesh: From Woman Comes Man ~Understanding the gift of Being-ness

“If a woman conceives and gives birth to a male…” -Leviticus 12:2   “If the woman emits her seed first she will bear a male, and if the man emits his seed first she will bear a female.” -Talmud; Niddah 31a   There are two opinions as to why it is so. One is that if the woman emits seed first, then the male emits seed second which means that his seed is on top, so the child will be a male. The second opinion is that it is precisely because the woman emits her seed first, which means that her seed is the foundation, that the child will be a male, for from the woman comes male! In the Universal Matrimony, which took place under the Mount Sinai Marital Chupah Canopy, G-d made us His wife (the woman), and He [G-d] our husband (the male). Thus, what does this verse, the Talmudic teaching, and the two mystical opinions of who emits seed first, mean to us in our daily practical service to G-d. What we will be exploring here is the difference between the spiritual arousal coming upon us from G-d Above, or from within us Below. We will also explore the two layers of spiritually arousing ourselves, and the difference of effect that it has on how we spiritually effect the universe. In this lecture you will learn the deep difference between having a relationship with G-d through what you do versus the relationship you can have with G-d through who you are.
