26 - The Kitchen (2023)
from Raised By Video
This week’s free episode features all the insanity you’ve come to expect from the Doggett brothers. While reviewing a Netflix original near-future sci-fi film set in Britain, we strike an impossible balance between ridiculous tangents and genuine film discussion (or so we hope, anyway). There are Alex Jones impressions, deliberation about what the Brits mean when they say “Takin’ a piss,” and a deep dive into why this movie starts out strong but drags as it inches toward its climax. Plus, you’ll learn why saying “bottle” in a British accent has us crying from laughter. For all this and more, listen to this free episode of Raised By Video. The Kitchen is a 2023 British dystopian action-drama written by Daniel Kaluuya and Joe Murtagh; directed by Kaluuya and Kibwe Tavares. It stars Kane Robinson, Hope Ikpoku Jr, Jedaiah Bannerman, Teija Kabs, Demmy Ladipo, and Cristale. This is an excerpt from the Patron-only episode.
