26. Urban and Rural Permaculture Homesteading with Kerry Brown of Strong Roots Resources
from The Permaculture Vine · host The Permaculture Vine Podcast
Kerry Brown has made it his mission to teach others how to understand their landscape and to create a productive property of any size, including urban and suburban lots. Over a 13-year period he turned a small urban lot into a productive space that included edible, medicinal and pollinator gardens, small livestock and wildlife habitat with ponds, various composting systems and rainwater catchment. Over time, all of these elements were integrated into a closed loop system. In October 2020, he moved to a larger space and is expanding his production plans on several acres of property. He is taking the lessons learned from urban homesteading and scaling it up for larger regenerative practices to include tractor systems for livestock, animal fodder systems, wildlife habitat management and invasive removal while applying processes that regenerate the soil. www.strongrootsresources.comhttps://www.facebook.com/strongrootsresourceshttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCv_CS6b13O8PLB9M0uZwKvQPDC to Professional Course Informationhttps://vinepermaculture.com/PDC2pro/The Permaculture Vine Newsletter Sign Up!https://vine-permaculture.ck.page/newsletterBook A Free 25minute Consult or Chat with Vine Permaculturehttps://koalendar.com/e/meet-with-vine-permaculture Get full access to Cormac Harkin at cormacharkin.substack.com/subscribe
