Hello and welcome to Noah Plaz, just the clap. Doug, and with me is Doug, who doesn't need cards to be against humanity? Rude. Rude.

Start over. Yeah. Nothing new. Stop.

Continue. And joining us is my friend, JR. Hello. There you go.

Sorry for the Electric Six reference right there. Never apologize for Electric Six references. Doug and I just snuck a little bit too much time listening to the same crowd. Yep.

So it's going to be at least our whiteboard today since we have JR. The first thing I have on the whiteboard is actually something that both of you looked at, I think, yesterday. And were the day before. I found a very misguided PSA online.

Superhero loops. I'm glad that Marblen DC have come together to promote breast cancer awareness and prevention. However, seeing superheroes build themselves up. And not a fun way.

Not a fun way. Not a fun way. Well, it was also one of those things where she's like, especially with Wonder Woman, she's doing it outside the open. Yeah, and she's not like a metal brazier.

I mean, it's... I mean, kind of soon she's got some support in there. And don't get me wrong. I mean, I think it would have been better had, you know, the characters been checking each other out.

That would have been completely different PSA. Oh, you know, there's a fan art that you know. I'm sure there's flash fiction floating outside. The Buddy Check 9 PSX.

Oh, Buddy Check 9? Nine news for a while did this whole thing about where you would have a buddy that would call you and remind you to do the self-exam. It was called Buddy Check 9. Like I said, in my head, however, it was the two women pulling each other up.

So, like I said, if it was, as you put it, the fan art of Wonder Woman and she holed killing each other up. It was the Buddy Check 9 PSX. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, see.

So, you know, parade movies. But awkward. Air motor, Buddy. Do it now.

Do it now. Does he write the sound effect? He doesn't. Unfortunately, write the sound effect.

Something Doug and I have actually been looking at a great deal lately. I like to call it Gico-Lugey. Gico-Lugey. Oh, Geology.

I said the website is actually Geology, which we call it greatly and truly. But I like to call it Gico-Lugey. I actually had a very interesting article lately which had a wedding ring that had a piece of dinosaur bone and a piece of meteorite in it. Like the dinosaur and what killed the dinosaurs?

Pretty much. Yeah, it was a pretty kick-ass wedding ring. I better get married, Doug. What, the dinosaur killing dinosaur ring?

No, I'd get like, I had to find the perfect girl that I could, um, that instead of a wedding ring, it would be like the Gallifrey and Fobwatch. Well, I had to tell you though, we've had this conversation before. I've reached an age where all of my girlfriends are either taken or fucking crazy. I don't know, do you ever experience this, Jar?

Well, all of them are taken or crazy. But I mean, it gets worse with age. Like I said, I've reached kind of my supposed middle-aged years. So all of my girlfriends are either taken or fucking crazy.

So when somebody asks me to set them up, I'm like, absolutely not. I'm doing you a favor. Who would you say? There's no one you'd set me up with.

I'm either taken or fucking crazy. I don't have any for that kind of aggravation anymore. So as a divorce man, I actually have to believe that all women are just- Oh yeah, all women are crazy. He's just all men are also assholes.

Yeah, we're all stupid. I'm not an asshole. I'm the whole ass. Being an asshole, what is it, Jen?

I was just, oh no, Charms is being an asshole with a smile. I was going to do the Henry Rawlings. Yes, all women are crazy, but all men are stupid. Absolutely.

Yes. However, I've been watching, I've been listening to your podcast, damn recently, which I've kind of been to listen to it when I'm working out, just extra funny because people see me at the power clapping like an idiot to myself. Really that funny on it, I always thought I was going to drive it. That's the one fact that I know you, so I find like your podcast diary pretty endearing.

Especially when you talk about who vomiting all over a crush and also you never ever refer to imparting Batman knowledge to children as like the mama bird vomiting food into the baby bird's mouth. Yeah, teaching so about Batman. Yeah, that happened. She wants to learn.

I want to teach. It's not my fault that it just happens to be about the justice league. That's not the issue here. It was the metaphor you used.

The mama bird duking into a baby bird's mouth. That's a perfect metaphor. Yeah. That's a perfect metaphor.

That's what you're doing is you're raising a child. You're just puking your own knowledge into them and hopefully it sticks in a good way. Here's the thing though. Hopefully it stays on their face.

What does it call the Hulk? Big green monster. Yeah, she won't call it the Hulk. No.

It's just a big green monster. It's a big green monster. It's easier to say. Yeah, I don't agree with that at all, but she knows.

But she'll say Captain America. It's like she says like Mr. America or USA or she says Captain America on your man. But she says Batman and Spider-Man.

Spider-Man. Spider-Man. Spider-Man. She says like a Boston accent.

Don't worry about it. Which brings me to another thing about Dan. I do not remember ever threatening you with a baby mumb watch on the website. I do remember you doing that.

You had food. No, we did not record it. We did not notice. We did not record everything we say.

Like I said, I do not remember ever threatening you with a baby mumb watch because of the belly. I think it was one of your now legendary fun threats with reds of fun. Well they'll be fun. Oh, they'll be fun.

Oh, the threats of fun origin. I had to do some emergency travel to the south for a funeral. And I had basically not slept or really eaten in like four days. And I thought it's like, well, if you want to cancel the report tomorrow, I'm like, oh no.

We're going to record. It's going to be fun. Yeah, it was a threat of fun. Oh, wow.

That's kind of what I was trying for when I sent you the picture of the tequila shots last night. Yeah. I said I should be a really fun guest tomorrow. No, I just wrote back tequila.

Like I said, it's threats of fun. So yes, the Doug Bump watch on the website apparently is one of my threats of fun. Even though I don't remember ever saying that. You said something about are we going to have to start a baby bump watch on the website.

And I was like, okay, time to start losing weight. So you down the asshole. Yeah, when I was with the last girlfriend. Well, guys were a little sedentary.

Yes. And the job wasn't active at all. And I wasn't walking very much. So I mean, I gained, I've lost 25 pounds since then.

Or I think almost 25 pounds. So I will be starting the exercise. I'll talk about this on Dan. I will be doing the exercise.

Regimen starting in December. December, not January. No kind of exercise regimen, Doug. Minimal.

Have you met Doug? Is it? I was walking with a story in Sigres. No, Bill.

That's actually my, that's my. No, no. I'm actually extremely active. I walk on average about nine miles a day.

Yeah, I was going to say I wear my little thick bit bracelet which monitors all of my activity and my sleep. Also, it tells the shield where you are. Hey, that's not the shield where I am. I was going to say, it's one of those things where I get a lot of my work done in the morning because I listen to podcasts or audio books when I'm working out of the park.

And Doug also likes to call me when I'm working out the park. Well, that doesn't bother me. It just happens. It's going to say because normally around 11, 9 in the park and he wants to talk about whatever just happened.

Yeah, I have daily occurrences of this needs to be said a lot of, or goddamn it I'm blocked on the novel. Goddamn it, this just happened on the novel where it's a little bit of an auto-talk. It's about, like, idiots about last time he talked and I was in the park and I'm trying to remember what it was. I don't know.

I'm going to come back to you later. But no, mostly it's going to be push-ups and crunches and stuff. I think I kind of plateaued in terms of weight loss. I need to kind of up it.

Honestly, I really would highly recommend you starting to do some yoga. Just be your flexibility so you don't fucking hurt yourself doing crunches and whatnot. Yoga's a shit. Do it.

I had to recommend just getting a DVD so you can do it by yourself with knowing laughing at you on your own time frame. Yeah, the last time I did yoga was there was an open mic for poetry reading that I went to. Something about visualizing pizza? Well, yeah, what happened was we were having the- Exactly what I'm talking about when I say that.

They were doing the sense of the augutation as part of this and Doug was not having it. They were like, visualize something. You know, you really want to play the scene of it. I was like, I really want pizza.

So I was finding the scene of a pizza tree and then realized that I wasn't that flexible enough to reach the pizza. You imagine I could go to a pizza. But that's the first time you do yoga anytime. Your flexibility gets better over time and honestly you don't realize how much it actually does help stretch you out and crack all of those weird places in your body.

Raising on all of that. Stretch me out. You can ask a D. I can ask a D.

I can ask a D. Moving on since Doug ruined that conversation. I'll look into yoga. I finally went to the software too.

Excellent. I really hope you don't like spoilers. Oh, no, that's fine. I've preferred to read movies and then go see them.

Okay. No, no, you're not weird. You just want the background. I don't like to be surprised.

Yes. That's my big deal. It's the only way you can watch American Horror Story. Watch that show.

Anyway, I finally went in software too. Second season. Anyway. Finally went in software too.

We both know that I was very lukewarm on actual Thor. I'm like, yeah, I actually like Thor too better than I like Thor. And see, we talked about this a couple weeks ago where I was a huge fan of the science fiction aspects of it. I really, really liked the styling on the Dark Elves ship.

It looked like either a piece of charred wood or some volcanic obsidian. Well, it was very Borgish, I thought. I disagree. But I'm talking about all of the grain on the ships, not necessarily the shape, but the texture on the ship looked a lot like charred wood to me.

Like if you were to come from a dark dimension. Okay. Like I said, admittedly the Dark Elves totally looked like a dark doo villain when they were in their battle here. You guys can't see me doing air clothes when I say that.

The masks. Which made them, which were really cool. Oh, no, don't go wrong. I loved it.

But they did kind of look like a dark doo villain. And they did like do the, I talked about this, they did the nod to Malekis Mask by Thor, lightning scarring half his face. Exactly. I loved the Increditing with the Collector.

With the Jor-El wig. I'm gonna call it that from here on out with the Jor-El wig. Oh, the Increditing with the Collector. Also, just because my first thought was what?

Are they in the Kiju Market in Pacific Rim? Very Delic. And I was in the Central Market. Still Delicaro.

Yeah, you and I both went to Hielmar the Toreau in that one. But don't you get the sense now that Delicaro is basically playing Finster from usual suspects, but with that wig? That's what he's gonna be. I love that Increditing.

I love that Increditing. Give me the fucking keys. With all of the cocksucker. What did he say?

Okay. Can we move on from that even though it's awesome. I loved all of the Increditing art that they did. I was convinced it was David MacArt.

It is not. It was actually commissioned by a studio whose name I can't think of right now. They did all of the Increditing. But it was very David Mac.

Like all of the Increditing, almost oil painting art. Like it was convinced it was David Mac. It is not. So yes, like I said, by the way, Zachary Levi does not look like himself at all.

No, no, he was one of like, it's actually Chuck Reich. No. As he's one of the Warriors three and you're like, and he was the one that always has the Finster's source. Not Boulder.

It starts with an app, I think. I'm sure the Intermetal Teles one. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We'll do it in the Apple directions on that one.

But yeah, he's one of the Warriors three. He does not look like himself at all of the things. And he's a false tag and then Sif. Oh, Sif.

She's following our secret Twitter account. I'm not gonna mix the nothing with this. Keep moving on. Jared, do you happen to watch Brooklyn Nine-Nine?

I don't. You really should. It's another show though. But wait, that's a comedy, isn't it?

It is. Oh, it's got Samberg, doesn't it? Yes, but the reason I watch it is because of Terry Crews. Terry Crews is fucking hysterically funny on that show.

And the reason I'm talking about is because both the Halloween and Thanksgiving episodes are amazing. The main thing on the Halloween episode you need to look at is the end. Terry Crews is wearing a costume, which is basically a black white beater with salt and pepper shakers over his pecs. Because you know Terry Crews can manipulate his pecs.

Yeah, can manipulate his pecs to shake. And that is awesome. And the Thanksgiving episode basically resolves about Terry Crews' white going out of town. And he needs to eat 10,000 calories a day to maintain his physique.

So he's freaking out because he hasn't gotten enough food on Thanksgiving. Now, it is a fantastic show. I'm winding down on stuff to watch. We'll talk about this week.

So to actually talk about something that three of us can talk about, you recommended a movie to Doug the Goodce. Oh, that's the greatest movie. Hold on. I want to jump to, I don't even hear me type, sorry internet.

Real quick, I don't want to jump to the kind of group thing quickly enough. Why do we have to jump? We're not going to have to go to the thing, Doug. You guys don't want to?

Raising. Sorry, Doug. That's the new what she said, it's phrasing. Hold on, because I would be remiss if I didn't bring up while I'm wearing my weeping angel shirt.

The day of the doctor. We will probably talk about it. Doug's who vomit. Yep, Doug's who vomit.

You're all my baby birds internet. Don't worry baby bird. I'll beat you. It sounded like the grossest roleplay ever.

Talk one, talk one, talk one. Oh, okay. Basically what happens is the 10th and 11th doctors meet. They run into the incarnation.

John Hurt plays the war doctor who is in between Paul McGahn and Christopher Echleson's eighth doctors. He manages to focus his regeneration to become a warrior because that's what is needed during the time war. You start to see more and more of the time war on this. The Dalek's assault on Arcadia, Gallifrey's second city, and he's still at the last days of the time war.

I'm not going to get into the whole thing. I really just want to cut to the doctors carried around this guilt for hundreds of years that he used the moment and basically destroyed Gallifrey and the time war. Well, the time war is why Matt said it's almost so quirky to distract himself from all the time. Absolutely, he's being more childish to go away from that guy.

By the way, he left your fuzz here. No, I know. It's been a few weeks. I got to pick the perfect data to fucking wear that out.

So basically what happens is John Hurt is thrust into seeing his future selves, the 10th and 11 doctors, to see how using the moment to end the time war will affect him. And they have this moment where all three of them have their hand on the big red button, which is a joke that way can it just have a big red button. And they're about to push it. And then Smith goes, wait, where the fucking doctor?

We can figure something out. And they end up freezing Gallifrey in a moment in time. Effectively saving Gallifrey. You're trying to tell me they kind of did a sitting in a bottle type of thing.

Yes. And now the new doctor's quest is to find Gallifrey. Might as if they could do a sitting in a bottle. Thanks, Kellal.

I like that. Candor. Yes, Candor could do anything in the bottle. My question, I guess, to you, Deb, more than when Jayark has you haven't seen a lot of Doctor Who.

It effectively erases the guilt of destroying Gallifrey. So it changes, can it? They literally talk about that they are going back in time to change their timeline. It's Doctor Who.

That's kind of their history, honey. But they changed the history. He's not burdened by that guilt anymore. And I'm asking, I know it was a very doctor thing to do where it's like, oh, we're going to figure out a way to save Gallifrey.

And because they have the 8.5 Doctor. Well, they needed to do two major things here. One, they needed to surprise everyone. Two, they needed to basically reset the Doctor's regenerations.

Because they had a finite number of regenerations. That after Capaldi, it's the last Doctor. Which Capaldi makes it uncredited cameo. Like I said, like I said.

Because they summon all 13 Doctors. Like I said, he has a finite number of regenerations. So they need to figure out a way to kind of reset that. Well, but they've done that with the Master.

They gave the Master a new set of regenerations before he refused to regenerate. You're writing to his sister's inside your head right now. I'm a little big. Yes.

Well, you were telling them earlier. So it was there anyway. I finished your thoughts so we could move on. My question is, do you think it was...

Saving Gallifrey is the right thing to do. I mean, in terms of eliminating that guilt from the Doctor, was the right thing to do. He's still the last Time Lord. He's still, despite the fact that he's supposedly saved Gallifrey, he's still going to have a lot of emotions tied up on the back that he's now alone in the world so to speak.

He's now just searching for his others. The same way he's seen the Doctor's wife when he gets the ping from the other Time Lords. Exactly. Okay.

It's one of those, it changed everything. I'm not sure, as a nerd, we don't like change. That's Mark, it's fucking deal though. He changes shit.

And also I think the new Doctor will give us an opportunity to like Claire a bit more because I'm still not sold on her. But yeah, I know. But I think singer-play against Capaldi will give a refreshing, kind of starting fresh. We'll see.

So finally talking about something that three of us can discuss. Thank you, Doug. The goods. J.R., you recommended this to me years ago.

I didn't love just see it. It is an underrated film. Incredibly underrated. And it got brought up on a shooting the Gap that came out a couple days ago by the time of this recording.

That's a very you movie. I don't know. You're talking about the Don Ruddy, the salesman aspect. I don't like my background in sales and hustling and trying to sell you speakers out of a white van.

That was me for quite a long time. You have candy? No, I never had candy. I really should.

You just probably could have made so much more money. That seems legit. It's just such a, it's such a quotable movie. I mean, my favorite quote from that is, you know, people wait for your hot dogs, you put up in flatable burule, shit's gonna go down.

Which is funny because that relates back to free, the book that I was listening to back to. I'm getting there. They have a gag in there where he gets visited by the spirit of his former partner. Oh, God.

And how they had Will Ferrell die. He's what? Rest of his abling. We're looking in a shoot full of sex toys.

I brought that up on to you. Yeah. But it's one of those things where they have the angel singing to him and they reveal his death is like choking on a sausage and a strip glove. Yes.

You're not even gonna sing it to me? We tried. It doesn't make it less sad. It was just one of those, that was kind of my gateway into bringing our guest into the show.

But it would just seem very, um... What is the name of the actress in that movie that's the only female sales clerk? Oh, just a lot of other shows. She's not a bunch of other shows.

That was Piven's group. Yeah. Oh, she's in a ton of shit. I guess she's not a bunch of stuff.

And most recently she was in the field. Um, I was gonna say, um, I was called crap. Who else was in it? See, now I'm drawn a blank.

What was it based on? The British series? Cuddling? No, it was not cuddling.

Although I love cuddling. Not the American version. No. No, the British version was terrible.

Um, it's a price was normal in it, but yeah. Terrible. It's an important thing. Okay.

Any more thoughts on the goods? Oh, it's been a while since I've seen it. I'm actually, now I'm gonna go home and watch that. It's one of those, I listened to it and was like, ah, yeah.

I mean, it's one of those things where for a while there was super weird, mean antagonist, wanted to be in a successful boy band. Man band. But now the boy band. Is that Jason Cebankis?

Uh, no, I don't know the name of the actor, but he's, um, he was on the audience. Yeah, he's fucking, uh, he's in the hangover. Mm-hmm. And that's, you know, and you see him and you see him and you see Ken, which one's in general.

We'll bring him up on, um, he's a child and that is, uh, uh, is fucking awesome. That's right. Yeah, he's just pop up. He's a good, he's a good player.

Oh, he's one of the car sales, the original car sales. Hey, I just sold this Mustang, paid cash since this brand new bag opens it pop fucking. I'm talking about a good lead in for an opening. I've been rewatching community because I love it.

You know, I was actually just watching the second season yesterday. There's an episode of Season 1 that I've never fucking seen. Which one? Uh, episode 13, the one with Jack Black.

On the, no. First season. No, he pops up on the second season? No, it's in the first season.

Where he's like, always been there? Yeah, no. What does he, Karate kicks Jeff in the face? Something along those lines.

He's also just the one with the flash back clips of him always being there. Oh my god, pretty cheated. He's a F or S? F minus.

Oh, that was a good episode. No, like I said, I finally got a friend of ours into watching community, which I essentially tricked him into the same way I got him watching the league. Yeah, so I've been rewatching it myself. And if you want to, I know you don't like watching shows, but community is, like, it's totally worth it.

I'm going to have to, I'm going to end up, you know, like, I just started watching Modern Family, which is amazing. Oh, yeah, Modern Family is weirdly addictive. It is, I actually, that's what, El Bundy, right? Yes.

I don't kneel is great in that. It's funny because you know who they originally went to be cast in that role was Craig T. Nelson, and we turned it down so they didn't give enough money. I see, I just couldn't see Coach like that.

Mm-hmm. Neither. What kind of money could Craig T. Nelson want?

He got parenthood money instead of modern family money. He got parenthood money instead of modern family money. But it was a much shorter role than parenthood as opposed to a much longer role in modern family. And since they got the bump for the last week, I was like, ooh, Craig T.

Nelson. Yeah. Weirdly addictive. I can't help it, but yeah, no.

Community might be the greatest hit comment I've ever watched. It's up there with like the rest of the development where I really do think it's kind of too smart or too savvy for major audiences. You actually now have a vocal cork because of that show. I say it kind of wants to.

I can't. Cool. He views the world completely. Like not like I do.

I do the world through a pop culture lens, but I also understand the reality where, well I bet you're kind of left wondering. The fact that he, I believe, accurately calls one of the episodes of bottle episode. Yeah, because they're stuck in the study room. Yeah, yeah.

I know. My mom is watching community and she's like, I'm sorry. What appear? I'm going to have to cancel.

I'm doing a bottle episode. Bam. Yeah. What is it?

My mom is watching community and goes, so there's a monkey on the show? And I went, yeah. The monkey that is fronting mafia episode that they did, which is named after another character, and he's moved. That thing was picked on Twitter.

Like, and my mom's like, really? And I'm like, if you watch it, it makes sense. That's a little Amy's moves. Oh, God.

Oh, God. And you know, you know the rat episode. Oh, God. Because you and I both love an American tale.

So when they're singing the Pfeiffle duet to the rat. Oh, Jesus. Yeah. Yeah.

Get a little misty. Yeah. Oh, he's singing from a gutter. It's so horrible.

What is HST stand for? HST stand for. 100th as Thompson. Okay.

The good doctor. Back on doctors. I'll kind of start with this and then, Jair, whenever you want to jump in. 100th as Thompson has always been a, the N.W.

I've said this before. One of my top three influences in writing. Jair here is the man who changed my life by handing me better than sex, which was about, was it the 92 or 96 campaign? It was 92.

It was 92. It was just. I'll break in here. That book kind of changed my life.

It helped me get me more into politics. That was a good book. That wasn't better than my first book. I, like probably a lot of other people, fear and loathing in Las Vegas.

One of the first books that ever made it loud while reading it. The first book I have ever read covered a cover without putting it down, without sleeping, any of that. I just couldn't drop it. It changed my life completely.

I have the gonzo symbol tattooed in the middle of my chest. Is that influential? I wish I could have met the man. I was going to have him sign my chest.

So, Lesul, I'm on, really? No, but I actually met Lesul. I don't know. I was in a job interview for Dish Network.

She was just there. It was a group interview. They said her name. She went up.

I looked at her. I was like, holy shit. That's really her. She was in a hurry.

I walked up to her at the end of the interview and I said, so I wasn't getting a good doctor. She looked at me. I was like, I know exactly who you are. I'm a fleet supporter of you.

She was just like, kind of, first, kind of taking back the fact that I even knew when she was. She talked a little bit about him more about Warren Zebon. He was more influential than that. The good doctor in his writing, I miss it so much.

I mean, you're better than sex. I mean, it not only shaped my writing, but it led me to getting jobs writing up. Ed, you remember all the... 1,000 points of hate.

1,000 points of hate. You're quoting about fucking the streets being lined with cupcakes and blowjobs. I've actually used that so many times. Was that...

Was that... Was that the DNC? That was the DNC. You were talking about how we were doing.

A Denver's dress up like a whore. You realized that was one of the first times when I actually spent a great deal of time together. Was it the DNC? That was the summer I was working with you.

Mmmmmm... No. I wasn't at- I wasn't at-pairs during the DNC. Yeah, that was right after you left and you and I were still friends.

Because I would go because I would cover the DNC and then go to the wine bar. Yeah, and then what do you want? I went to Scotch. I'm a working man.

You know, I was a journalist and I was a great Scotch. But that was also when I was at like peak of slamming fucking car bombs because of you. That's when you and I were sitting there laughing like idiots watching the Danzig Shakira video and Michael, popular fucking insane. Michael, oh, the bartender.

Yeah. But yeah, I've been here for 1,000 points of hate and other fixes in. And there was another one. All you need is hate.

I mean, hugely influential into my political writing and then just my style and I covered part of the Lesselom on Rally at the Capitol. But I mean, once again and I will never be able to thank you enough for handing me- and it was at the designated smoking area at our high school Smokers Corner that you- I remember this in front of the mobiles if you hand out the health classrooms. The health classrooms out by the Smokers Corner, yeah. No, I didn't either.

But yeah, going out for cigarettes at T-J to vote. I don't know if you've ever teated in the middle. But yeah, you handed me by the sex and you're like, I don't remember what exactly you were like to go here, read this. And I don't- I don't- I would say I read it covered in cover though, sleeping, but it was one of those like within 40 hours I finished it and was just blown away.

And specifically that campaign 92, that was the big pop culture boom in politics. Because you have Clinton popping up in Rolling Stone and- That's when I've been getting into the first MTV. And he plays saxophone that's not coming to pop. He plays in my court.

Yes. Yeah. Harry Anderson shows up. You know, one of my favorite quotes from that book is when they're talking about the whole Bill Clinton smoking pot, it's like, yes, I smoke pop but I didn't inhale.

It's just like me. I take LSD but I don't swallow it. Yeah. I chew it but I don't swallow it.

But his take on- And then over 100 hits fasted absorbed into his leg through his pants. What was this? In SLC companies running through the field and the sprinkler hits his pants like- Yeah, it's a magnet sequel. It reminds me of something an old friend of mine that did.

Okay. He had driven him up to Boulder too. Why did he do that? Why did he do that?

He took two to test it, but then we got pulled over on the way back. Yeah, in that corner he had it in his back pocket. They put him in the back of the cop part. He was handcuffed but they had completely checked him.

While they were out running everybody else's ID. He ate the other. He's spent a few days in jail. He said he refused to close his eyes.

Now he's in jail for 65 years. Wait, no, this person- Jesse Miller. You really probably should count somebody like that. that's oh trust me he's this is not for what he did and he's a good change man now but back in the day we all used to have some fun yeah we talked about that on Gretchen swear we get from talk about the evolution of our personalities yeah the duck a little yeah you know it's a juggle of that listen to slayer reminder threat that's what it meant the days and the days and the days I call I actually refer to that year those 98 I call the summer chaos just so much debauchery and that's what metal show we did yeah I know how it how I was not influenced you in your writing and everything he acted it was kind of my influence for recreational drug use and I've gone you know one of my favorite story ever about her as Thompson is why I believe in another couple and then going through a month where everything was just super fucked up and then finally realizing they had a biolab acid in the same cabinet as coffee cups that it spilled and so the acid was on the rim of the coffee cups so every morning when they would pay coffee they're accidentally ingested oh wow that is one of my favorite rest of the stories ever and this was later in his life obviously because it was married yeah I mean it was it was 1990 he was being investigated for selling LSD in 1990 and as much later in his life he you know unfortunately and then he went for sure that was in 1972 okay yeah that was the greatest way on his campaign platform he had that no deputy would be on would ingest Mass One while on duty the you want to bring back the stocks bring back the stocks so yeah for immoral or drug dealers and if you turned in a drug dealer you couldn't be held accountable to keep drug dealers honest and the great thing what do you want to call you want to change the name of Aspen to that city yep created that true politics right there well it's that yeah that and what's the name I'm by after running for yeah what other people are talking about I was just a layer by dick okay well that brought it down you know I actually met him at Wax tracks and over your hands asshole yeah it's perfectly nice to me okay Wax tracks I miss that place it's still there yeah but it's just so far away now I live in the suburbs right over there yeah I probably will walk down but I live in the suburbs I don't come downtown very often god I haven't even been no concert you know it's funny it's March I figured out that eight thousand years ago he and I were both the same cradle of Phil concert Wow we have a cradle opening for no type of a negative opening for well you know with the the Land Striders yeah from a dark crystal where the sexy's where the scaxie back um I'll never get sick of that sign um yeah it was Gretchen was going and then Robin were bored out of our minds this was I think right after we heard a broken his foot or whatever it was so he was on crutches and we're like what the fuck are we gonna do it I'm like well type was open for cradle why don't we like wait half an hour and we can miss most of typo it was yeah he was sick and he could handle the the altitude and then yeah cradle came out that was I think on the last tour before they signed a Sony with the what's their label that ever could ever label I don't know but now I've got cinnamon curls stuck in my head that's not worth it well it's a typo cover of cinnamon curls it's slightly better but still what is it the Johnny Cash cover hurt was on person of interest probably my mom was watching it and she's like who is that I'm like you really gonna ask for that voice is like okay absolutely fucking door Johnny Cash is covered mercy seat my neck cave oh my god have you ever had a new cave do unsolos my I'm so lonesome I could cry oh my god I've got it I'll play it for you later that you're talking about the that her cover reminded me I was reading a video ever yes one used to be the most depressing song to hear live because you knew one hurt oh because you knew that the show was over yeah always but I remember the last time I saw my son I was at the I didn't see the last tour I didn't get to see the his the retirement tour I guess but I did I got to see him at Red Rocks sold out red rocks nine chanels nothing else in the entire world and they played her halfway through the show I'm really messed up and so time is nothing to me and I hear hurt and I'm like I'm like what it no it can't be oh I don't want to leave yet and then it was like another half hour 45 minutes but anyways I got off topic for a second I was reading a review of the Lollapalooza show and the idiot obviously very young writer wrote he closed with her a Johnny Cash cover oh I was like oh my god really I understand I can understand that people would somewhat make that connection because you hear Johnny Cash doing a song and then you hear nine chanels doing a song you would assume because Johnny Cash is an older round yeah but I mean he put out demand comes around and that had a bunch of covers yeah his last like two albums were all covered he's doing Tom Petty won't back down I heard that but I mean he did personal Jesus he did cover a rusty cage by sound guard and still my favorite I said anything that the producers would bring to him is a cover and they all turned out really well yeah I mean I want to hear the shit they didn't put out the stuff they thought because I was what American four and five I think I remember remembering right you get a couple years it'll get released everything gets released especially since this old daughter has control of the library yeah well I mean certain yes certain times you just wonder like why did they even release it like it's like when they said it's like when they said it's like when they said it's like when they said it's like when they said it's like when they said they're like their last song in commercials you know that they passed away somebody else has control of the library or they just really really need the money I mean the last Pan-Sara song is really this I love Pan-Sara among all the time favorite bands another band fans of kiss the song they released it's it's just American oh no they released it like two or three years ago it's you know people are of course clamoring for anything that time was associated with I even I was so drunk last night I found myself listening in Nickelback to hear some time oh yeah that's you but you know they released it and it was just so horrible and I'm Americans was American steel American metal oh no it's reinventing the steel same American steel because I'll start laughing if they can get started you Jack menu a little kid it's making me is making me worried you know I'm hoping the robot I'm hoping Tom or I and Kerry King don't you know because there's a bunch of Jeff and stuff this little record I'm really glad that effectively dad they are dead there is it's Tom or I and Kerry King now no more day of embargo no more Jeff and I mean it's I mean yes Kerry Kerry King is fucking slayer but still you know if not get you else layer well tapping yep that's I'll play that right say it's not good it's not good you can suck it you can suck it nothing's gave you else layer during it not to get off topic I was gonna say but you wanted to talk about your Dol Wars yeah J.R.

is actually one of the guys I've affectionately referred to as the goon squad yes funny because that's what they call security at Deafon medical instance and this is something that you've been bugging about every time we text each other no matter what we're texting about it'll always come down to when it's game yeah got it later and I'm always like no no no really I'm really yeah yeah yeah like I said honestly as much as I did it for you I also kind of did it with a network we've been rebuilding the army pretty effectively yes because I had always found on doing a podcast centered around our games because lost her mind when I brought you the winter soldier you yeah she got me a fair itself which started kid oh yeah you're excited in a second new maps it's got I'm not gonna bore you with the details of some of the pieces in it because you don't need to worry about like the Surfing Crown possessed Red Skull starter or anything but you know I'm not beeping out his name because it's nothing horrible on this but you know Robin I'd always but it heads on what happened to Bucky that he always maintained he was always that I'm like no no they brought him back to the winter soldier it's a really good story I mean I'll fucking movie out of it now like it's very excited yeah I get and I love I mean I just loved the character the winter soldier one of the pieces was Bucky as Captain America when he took over after Steve Rogers death and I'm really looking for his playing it right in front of Rob and go you know who that is that's Bucky motherfucker that's the winter soldier not always wanted to do that I mean the asshole that I am took the glorious picture possible of the piece and sent it to him about five days before he actually got it and a semi-paniac phone call back for him asking what color pants he was wearing because the lucky because the winter soldier Captain America had the alice Ross redesigned the costume and it was like black pants anyone yeah and it was yeah I was like could tell that was a Steve Rogers or or Bucky Captain America it was like with color is pants black oh yeah like a semi-paniac phone call from him because like I said it's kind of actually become a thing between us now where I try to take like the most blurry un-really recognizable picture oh yeah oh yeah okay no I think it's hilarious and I want you to try and figure out what the hell is happening because one of them was the the deathstroke that one actually was not blurry all because you want to be a sturgeon I think Doug may lose his mind if he doesn't get a deathstroke from this from the archangence series expansion because not only do you know that I mean death strokes a great character yes to play as but don't I talked about it and you just you've known me a long time you don't need to conquer nerd a deathstroke is just one of my favorite characters so it's one of those where I'm like I want one on multiple levels it's like having a taskmaster and they finally started to build slave Wilson into death stroke cuz now they have like the Herbie mask on the half of the space oh yeah the herb the herb mud mass yeah that's very slowly like visually transition to which the other teas first episode first was that first scene in the first episode for season the next the second episode with the island and the island with the arrow through yeah yeah it was just and it was that mask I was like that's real I'm gonna burn her for this since we start watching her yeah could give a rat's ass about the eye candy I'm in it for I'm in it for slayed I have tricked so many of my girlfriends into watching her I'm like you know what watch the first episode you get to the scene working out in the warehouse watch it and then give me a call and first season finale where he's chained up he's chained up his arms above his head I'm sorry it's still him working out doing the rack yeah you know what I'm talking about right and you have the bar you have to jump the bar exactly and you're like sploosh he's not about it's good the whole premise of the show is kind of a Chris Nolan take on green arrow so but he's he's it's very Easter egg heavy I was gonna say that and they built in a lot of the past canon and lore yeah one day I was reading an article about some of the new episodes of shield they've talked about some of the Easter eggs like their calls on a 616 which is the designation of the prime universe and Marvel but in the artlet said she's not as Easter egg heavy as arrow but and I was like okay I'm just glad someone's recognizing how Easter egg heavy arrow is and and we've we I think we did like a season retrospective on all of the Easter eggs from the first season yeah I think I'll actually include this one in mistakes I made this week so I'm going to see it to the other one preacher this is gonna be quick two things I realized I started this conversation with you specifically twice today one of the reasons I'm a little disappointed that HBO will be doing it is because one of our favorite comedians was in preacher Bill Hicks book the new one's awesome Oh the document American the bill is story I think so yeah oh god this so just with the ways filmed with the 3d picture like pictures and just hearing a little bit that I hadn't heard before yeah yeah the wall is early stuff was like I never really heard a lot of that but it'd be neat because HBO would have the rights to all of his you know the HBO yeah stand up and they could kind of do that put that in there the when Jesse's flashing back to see the legs yeah I don't know if they can get the rights away for that problem I don't see HBO when no special hands no especially because HBO tried to do preacher as well I'm still they turn on stuff for some reason turn it over again really yeah fuck it yeah that that executive is gone they turned on my arms that would have been interesting on HBO I don't know that yeah well cuz Doug when you watch the first episode you immediately they talk about for losing a virginity as a product of tape rate she gets repeat you're like oh shit yeah I was like not expecting this was it the CW or WVU was UPN at the time I was on some weird ass network in Florida next day but something we were remiss in our casting the preachers we never cast star I'm thinking Elle Rickman this is Alan well just him saying custard instead of potter it's like I almost like Mr. Custard would be hilarious you know that you know that like German accent but you know he can do it because of the accent he did in die hard yeah when he was Hans River John yeah but it's delicious if you've been there not a sushi that's where the fish is to die for that's from community sorry they have a Christmas ever so where they give the guy the bloody tank top from die or sweet when it's on breaks of basics taking a balls and he takes off shaking his shoes off fuck yeah 19 terrisons building and they'll have feet smaller than my sisters so super twitchy about the writing team on printer you know it's being held by stuff Rugged on heaven oh that's right I read about that this is responsible for reincarnate one movie out of how many three I'm sorry one out of three is not good enough to write preacher you can sad really like sad D don't you I like that it looks like it's a sad but I texted what is it haters can sad was up the line I'm just gonna be like I'm sometimes you just gotta let me be me all you haters can sad D was a fake it was a fake my least iris tweet about yeah the smoking pot on the Eurovision or whatever like I said every time I text sad it looks like it says cracked me up but apparently I'm seven but yes I'm sorry we know what it was so bad that's my number one worst superhero movie of all time yeah but I've watched really later green I was my top I was number five I mine for worse movies worse how the movies also in there fantastic for silver so no that actually didn't make it because we had stuff like ghost writer to yeah I mean we had bigger fish to fry the fantastic or two which was real fucking bad it's all for suspect talking about the rewatch relief watch again none yeah especially what I got the directors cut the hat yeah I had all the deaths of the original life now night owl yeah it's well and it's got all the hood stuff it's got the black freighter stuff I mean and I just I haven't seen it just it takes it out it's great but there's no rewatchability and I had to say the opening credits of that with times are changing and them doing all the snippets times are changed up is played during the comedian's funeral yeah is it we look at the end of every issue he has like lyrics and they actually took all over the opening credits when they're doing the snippets of the death of most of the minute and I'm not talking about right yeah my favorite being of course Cape and revolving door okay no kids no kids okay at the mode we're at 53 oh crap we're gonna run a little long internet told me I'm wrong we have a list as you all know don't I make many mistakes thank you for correcting us internet always fun to open up with that movie I was thinking of where they hire a hooker to pee on somebody was horrible bosses it's really funny you should it's really fucking it's really good Jason Bateman Charlie Day and Ed Helms and then their horrible bosses are Kevin Spacey Jennifer Aniston who's amazing yes and an anastene yeah and Colin Farrell is really sliding it to playing this balding comb over co-cat it's fire the fat people yeah fire the but she's pregnant it's like oh who's the way she's pregnant so and it's really had in what's in the fold from no from from we don't talk about Lord in good ways on their show make me make me speak in a night now a cyclops was played by James Marsden Marsden just very close to Marston which I think was that was like so there's a master that's not Masterson is it we're not correcting that internet Twitter don't tell me everyone though weirdly on the nose a skander dark with substance D that was the fictional drug we were talking about but I remember them being read I thought they had like a red name to it but yeah we're not big drugs like episode once you do a bunch of so much both of us probably all three of us and then you're wondering if the the imperial officer that says you rebel scum had a name and of course he does it's lieutenant Rens R E and Z played by Barry Holland who's been fucking nothing it smacks of contest it smacks of yeah producer producer cousin you have to wonder if that line was ad lib to at that point time with Lucas probably not I think it would be like a public ad lib would be Hamill Chinchol Jones and Hansenia and Harrison Ford maybe the only ones that could probably get away with it I'd love to think that I love you I know was ad lib but it makes it more fantastic that was written to me like but Lucas had that kind of grasp on the character of I love you that is all of our questions so in mistakes I made this week I actually have to those of you who are pet owners probably realize that when you have an animal you have a mental internal voice that you give them like you look at the cat and you kind of hear what they're staying in your head I accidentally gave my cat draw the thunder voice so now every time he walks in a room what I hear exactly hey baby I want to kill all of you miss he totally does that and I'd left the other day for Thanksgiving and I swear to god he's face and I'm gonna have my own Thanksgiving with flatjack and fuckers I swear to god that's what he said the other one being I don't know that's where he got the 20s yeah I forgot this was a set I said the other one being I don't know if we've discussed it yet but our non-turn got a new truck which is pretty awesome but it is a 1965 GNC it's a fixer up he's doing really well on it I don't know if you guys know this you don't see belts weren't required until 1966 yes and turn signals were not required until 1968 what was it turn signals really quite the fact that it came standard in most cars in 62 while I appreciate it so I'm so required like I said well I appreciate the fact that the non-turn fixed my seat belt so I won't crack my head open on the all-metal dashboard that's right all metal dashboard like I said unfortunately the fact is that a standard feature in that car has now got my hair tangled in it twice that's right it's a gun rack sentences I should not have to say twice I got my hair tangled in the gun rack why why why would I have a gun let alone many that would necessitate a rack it's a gun rack I don't even know an all-gun let alone many well the funny thing is that yes the truck came standard with a gun rack awesome however the non-turn uses it to put his pool cues in their cases that's actually really that's actually really like you getting my hair so that's what you do it yeah you gotta use it for something I mean yeah like I said and that thing is so fun can complicate it there's so many different pedals and levers and no the actual truck okay like pedals and levers and there's like a foot pump for like the water I'm literally imagining I'm literally imagining the control console for the tardis we're just running around like doing things there's a reason why he will not even have odd drink if he's driving that truck it requires that much concentration yeah another five Gallifrains to run it no it's fucking crazy anyways like I said I can't make her take a gun rack not once but twice I'm sure it'll happen again dare you make a piece of your mistake last night yeah it's a key look why well it's that my roommates you're not gonna do the standard boy thing seem like a good idea the time it's last words exactly well now because drinking tequila never seems like a good idea even before you do it you just you do it I might we were gonna drink my roommate wanted tequila so we drank tequila I think the biggest mistake that was I was already like ten shots in on fireball before I started drinking it's a cool or a bad combo yeah it'll surprise you actually have stomach lining left I didn't vomit I was amazed I barely made it here I do know that while waiting for the bus I fell asleep like on the standing up against pole for like five minutes thank God he missed the bus actually got to not actually got to the translation before I did yeah I was big mistakes who just kind of standing there in the trains and the bus is going by very loud that's we need to sit in the sun a little evaporate or doctor do you have any mistakes this week no I'm even looking at my list of movies I'm gonna talk about next week and I don't even have a mistake in there I guess my mistake was I got into a show called Eagle Heart and managed to slime through all two seasons Eagle heart oh yeah Eagle Heart is the Adult Swim Texas Ranger parody that stars Chris Elliot as the second-order character it sounds pretty awesome wow it is fucking amazing spoiler alert second season the moon commits suicide sounds pretty awesome all right we're gonna round it out with social contract asshole so did you want to rain first on black Friday oh God just the whole premise of black Friday I used to enjoy it I actually used to love going out in the Ferdinand the clichers I used to love going out and trying to get the deals it was like it was more of a game but now I mean now it's a hunger game yeah the fact that there is a website which is very good in called black Friday death count meaning there's been a death count yesterday that I know of one person was stabbed over a parking space couple of people were shot wanted to drive by another one walking home with a television multiple people were trampled really to get a fucking television or the stop touching the LMO or something it's it's horrible it's vile and fuck just shop online exactly cyber Monday or really Black Friday is a huge joke all the sales are right before Christmas for people that shop like me I think the the social contract on this is that you had talked to me earlier about that where was it that they set up the steel fence or a wall art of course in Puerto Rico that the people at one point slammed into the like mobbed the the steel fence and it came down on other people which makes me always think of the chain link scene from one of the recent walking dead episodes I don't need to be clip about it I mean that's how I imagine it my head is the biggest 80s saw me movies were based on 80s mall culture so it's not a very far jump between the two of them but you know I you know I I'm extremely working class I don't have a lot of money for Christmas I don't I don't do black Friday's I don't do the deals I barely do cyber Mondays but really because I already figured out what I want for Christmas I have already bookmarked what you're getting from the non-turns getting it for me it's what is it George to Kai's signature signature sent oh my oh exactly as an EU oh my oh yeah I was fucking clever like I said there's a create memes when you spray it I hope no that's not what I'm getting you some glad we're not no no no no not turns you get that more than that wasn't even on my thought process so you're looking at now aren't you no I'm actually that made me think of something completely different yes I was just saying like they have like treat each other fucking civil you like the whole purpose of social contract asshole is to try and make people understand that there are societal rules we need to live by and with us for the most part has been trying to be kinder and gently well that and you know the deals that run on black Friday they run the weekend they run the whole fucking season I want my four dollar walk and make her now well then you're gonna have to travel some old people and children which they're not okay with it really I was a good opposite of the joke I was going with but all right either you're gonna be like yeah I'll do that for McDonald's breakfast I'm I'm gonna say breakfast I'm gonna say breakfast I'm gonna say I'm a McDonald's at no point that I actually mentioned food I'm gonna christianic that's Burger King I know I still want a christianic I'm served by that horrible thing with the face they have a big Mac now yeah they do the what do they call the big king or something big king yes do you remember the the niggburg baseball special you run from that no only thing I think about what you and me is the meat fight at your house oh the meat fight well we're running over so we'll say we'll save that for oh how we'll go out on this story it's a good story so I used to be part of a what would you call it slot punk I guess at that point why treasure people the white was a nigga band white dress for people named from a reference that I made about Mars attacks of course and what it was was we were kind of the slot punk band and we played with this other scott band well it's a natural they changed their name to Sir Isaac lime out from the Otter pop but they weren't called I just remember the toilet yeah and the drummer brought a toilet to sit on and they got to my house stuff full of ramik so it's like a barbecue party to well that didn't happen were you the one on the roof no that was the guy I was the idiot hanging upside down in the tree trying to take pictures and unfortunately there were no drugs or alcohol no involved in that stupid decision which I wish I look back and go oh yeah because I was drunk yeah that's stupid yeah and it turned out the Dan's look was on the roof and screamed like whatever air attack or death from above and just sort of pelting the crowd right hamburger meat which turned out from above the rock hamburger meat it's pretty clear and it turned into yeah it turned into my mom coming home and there's a toilet in the front yard stuff with chicken bones and her is going what the fuck yeah so I think I do have me now that there's a bit driving yeah I think I'll think of the minute I click off I'll think of it but well that note don't be a dick bag and I think we're done yeah social contract that's all no meat toilets who's that knocking at the door why it's our super villain friend of the show hello I'd like to ask you some questions if that be all right that would be acceptable John Tallow from New York asks what do you think of your portrayal in the film Dark Knight Rises vs. the portrayal of Bane from the movie Batman and Robin what hello I couldn't escape you if I wanted to I'm sorry were you just singing Abba got to know when to hold them know when to fold them are you drunk take control take control of your podcast well what exactly would you like me to do your giant and and drunk don't go chasing water balls please stick to the rivers that you're used to thank you for listening to the VACN your home for almost bacon and banjo
