It’s always a treat when Jeremy Saulnier drops a new movie, and his latest, the progressive-minded FIRST BLOOD riff REBEL RIDGE is yet another notch in his belt as the master of meaty, high-pressure thrillers. We discuss the morality of policing, the atypical way violence is employed to support theme, and whether or not a bicycle can still be ridden after a bitchass cop hits it with his car.
