This could be due to increased caloric intake, reduced physical activity, endocrinopathies, etc. There are many issues that occur with obese pets: cardiac issues, joint pain, organ dysfunction, etc. However, the skin can also be included in these issues.Elbow calluses, fold dermatitis and pododermatitis can all be worse as a patient gains weight.
