#265 I May Destroy You

Queen & J. are two womanist race nerds talking liberation, politics, and pop-culture over tea. Drink up! On this episode… We’re reviewing the HBO series “I May Destroy You”. This is a spoiler full episode so if you care about spoilers, go watch the series and come back to us! Content warning, this series explores themes of rape and sexual assault and we will be discussing those themes of rape and sexual assault and at times our own experiences with rape and sexual assault. Our mental health counselor homie Akua of Inner Hoe Uprising podcast joins for added support, but if you feel like this episode is not for you, we get it. We start the show with our usual banter, so if you wanna tap in for that and then turn it off, we get that too. This week’s hotlist - Birthday joy, roller skate bling bling, virtual auntie time with Patti Labelle and Gladys Knight. Micheala Cole is a bad bitch genius.
