27. Bechukoisai 5779: Aren't You Tired Trying To Fill That Void --Going To The Depths Of Self

from The Jewish Mind · host Rabbi Avrohom Lipszyc

FaceBook: Link Notes: Link The modern-day issue for this lecture is to understand and connect with the ultimate depths of self. In this lecture we will discover that there are many levels to how we become wholesome with self: (i) Living with self (ii) Being one with self (ii) Being self For many, obtaining any one of these levels of wholesomeness would allow for inner congruency and inner-peace. However, for some, either because their level of hyper-sensitivity, as a backlash to how they have ailed and desecrated their inner-congruency and inner-peace, or simply because instead of growing and evolving emotionally with self, they have numbed their feelings and continuously 'checked-out' on self, today, living with self, or even being one with self, won't fill that void, not until they can live with being self. This lecture is based primarily on a maamor the Rebbe delivered on this Shabbat, in 1965, exploring the difference between the written letters of the Torah-scroll and the engraved letters of the Two Tablets of the Covenant.
