27: Catholicism 101: The Basic Gospel Message

It is important to know the basic Gospel Message and what Catholic believe. Here is how I broke it down and here is the video I referenced in the podcast https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kG6o-9ldl0M We are creatures, God is the creator There is an infinite abyss between us (metaphysically) Why did God Create us? Because he loves us. Genesis We are sinners so add infinite moral abyss Sin enters the world (Fig Leaves → animal skin) Animal Sacrifice We need a redeemer Fully God and Fully Man Superabundant payment for our sins Pays for all sin Word was made flesh born to the Virgin Mary Through his blood he redeems mankind We enter into that mystery through the waters of baptism Baptism gives us the theological virtues of faith, hope and charity and the gift of sanctifying grace It's the loving sacrifice that gives us the grace to Love God back Being a nice person does not get you to Heaven We must be engrafted to the person and work of Jesus Christ This means being apart of his Church Namely the Catholic church and her Sacraments This is the basic Catholic Message Support the show Enjoy the content, wanna support? https://www.buymeacoffee.com/adrianfonseca Adrian Social Media IG: @ffonze Twitter: @AdrianFonze Facebook: Adrian Fonseca YouTube: Adrian Fonseca YouTube: Catholic Conversations
