27. Childbirth: Gift or Curse?

Right after Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit, God said to Eve, “I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception. In sorrow thou shalt bring forth children . . . .”At first glance, this looks like a punishment.
