Die neue Maschinenverordnung soll die bestehende Maschinenrichtlinie 2006/42/EG, die seit dem 29.12.2009 rechtsgültig ist, ablösen. Die Veröffentlichung durch die EU-Kommission im Amtsblatt wird in Kürze erwartet. Danach haben Hersteller und Betreiber 42 Monate Zeit, sich mit der Maschinenverordnung zu beschäftigen, bevor diese dann rechtsverbindlich in Kraft tritt.
