#27 - Fasting 101

DISCLAIMER: This episode discusses fasting as a spiritual discipline. We are not medical professionals, and nothing in this episode should be taken as medical advice. If you are considering fasting — especially if you have health conditions or recent medical procedures — please consult a qualified healthcare professional. Is fasting a lost spiritual discipline that we have neglected as Americans? What was Daniel doing when he fasted for 21 days? Why did Jesus fast for 40 days before he started his ministry? Should I only fast when I want to seek Gods guidance on a decision in my life? If I fast and hear nothing from God, did I fail? What does his silence mean? How does his silence build up our spiritual muscles for future trials and testing? Can I fast just to seek His peace during a tough season in my life? If you’ve ever wondered whether fasting still matters for believers today, then this episode is for you. If you enjoy our podcast, please consider following or subscribing wherever you listen.
