In this episode, we explore the progressive nature and devastating effects of alcoholism with our special guest and podcast friend, Cathy Romano. Cathy shares her inspiring story of hitting rock bottom (more than once) and how asking for help inside the rooms of AA saved her life. Cathy is a happily married mom of two boys, ages 18 and 20. She practiced law for 13 years before deciding to stay home with her children. Cathy’s journey began in 1997, with many attempts at getting sober. She finally surrendered to her disease on December 5, 2013, and has been clean and sober. In sobriety, Cathy found her true passion in health and fitness and fell in love with pilates.
