O obstetra Hemmerson Magionie conversa com a jornalista Larissa Carvalho, que vêm travando diariamente batalhas para que as grávidas saibam que existe um teste do pezinho mais eficiente na rede privada e para que o governo expanda o teste público.    Larissa é mãe do Théo, que nasceu com uma doença rara. Quando ela descobriu que o próprio leite materno estava intoxicando o filho, era tarde demais: Théo não senta, não anda, não fala.
