In the ‘90s I made three albums and played hundreds of shows at colleges and clubs throughout California with my band, The Jenny Thing. I’ve written quite a bit solo, too. In 2021, after a 20-year layoff, The Jenny Thing pulled back together and released a fourth album.Being now in my 50s, I have learned to not-too-angstily observe myself move through a cycle of falling away from being “a maker,” and then falling back into it.
