But it never lasted. I loved hearing affirming words from others, but I wasn’t offering any of that to myself. I was repeating patterns I learned from childhood, watching the women around me people‑please to earn love and safety.It took facing my abandonment wounds, breaking my people‑pleasing identity, and learning how to look within for what I kept begging others to give me.
