On today's episode, I interview Siobhan McCarthy, the writer, director, editor, animator and composer of SHE'S THE HE, a high-school farce about two guys who pose as trans women to sneak into the girls' locker room and allow one bud the opportunity to finally chat up his crush. However, when the other realizes she feels more than comfortable as a trans woman, to the point where she realizes she IS trans, the movie blossoms into a gentle yet goofy primer on the trans experience.McCarthy and I chatted about the memery laden within, the intersections of economic and gender oppression, the GOAT David Lynch and much, much more.
