Phil grows up alienated from his condemning father. Clumsiness leads to broken bones and scorn. Phil’s bitterness finds relief in heavy drinking and then drugs. Car wrecks cause him to wonder about God, but he follows the world and has an affair with a married woman. His sister and husband witness about salvation through Christ.
