#274 - Mastering 40, Ep. 4

from The Rambling Runner Podcast · host Matt Chittim

And here we go! My quest to break 40:00 in the 10k next summer at the age of 40 took a big step forward in recent weeks. My mileage is now approaching 30 miles a week and legit workouts have begun. The running hasn't been perfect but steps are being made. Most importantly: I'm still 100% healthy. Thank goodness. Coach James McKirdy, founder of McKirdy Trained, and I discuss all of this and talk about what the next 6-8 weeks will look like. I also speak with Adrienne Langelier, my therapist and sport psychologist. We have our normal deep dive into my current mentality, emotions, and what is driving both. We also spend considerable time on my balancing of working with my kids as they learn from home while also trying to train and work on my business.  Thank you to the Mastering 40 partners: - Supplements/Protein: Previnex - code: RUNNER15 for 15% off - Health Analysis: InsideTracker - code: INSIDETWENTY for 20% off - Attire: Tracksmith - code RAMBLINGRUNNER for 15% off first purchase over $75 Follow Matt: Instagram - @rambling_runner Twitter - @rambling_runner Get exclusive podcasts with popular past guests by joining our Patreon community at www.patreon.com/ramblingrunner. https://www.theramblingrunner.com Learn more about your ad choices.
