2756 “Clara”

“Clara” is raised in a Christian family where the parents pray and read Scripture. She rebels against a repressive church, goes to nursing school to get away from home. She works far from home in a psychiatric unit, absorbing godless philosophy. Drinking in bars, she ends up living with a man she eventually marries. They adopt children; Clara adopts alcohol and becomes addicted. She has blackouts, DWI, attempts suicide. Her mother comes to help, takes her home where a pastor’s wife leads Clara to the Lord.
