TRANSCRIPT · AUTO-GENERATED

Hello, welcome to Noah Plon's Just The Clamp. I'm Doug with me as always as my first wild co-host Deb. New. And we are joined by her co-worker, Mando.

Howdy Diddy. I'll take you just made it easier for free-fist to track us down because they now know Deb and Mando work in the same place. Yeah, but how many Mandos could there be? Like, you know, a lot of his names.

Well, there's only one Mando, that's what I'm sorry. And he's in Nargos. Didn't. Not my original intro, but...

Well, it's your intro, sir. The only show that's gonna talk right off the bat about a giant dick. So I've been waiting a month. The new Hellboy should not abuse this song in the trailer.

Yeah, I didn't want to touch on that, but... They really shouldn't have used that song in the trailer. I tried watching it, I got it 20 minutes and it was like, man... Oh no, the pacing was editing is...

I didn't even bother. Honestly, I felt the trailer that Mila Jovovich was just gonna carry that whole movie. She really didn't. Like, she really carried the rest of Meepful franchise.

Doug made it to the camera face, which is a very interesting takeout now picked up. Looking randomly at places and like... I feel like that's kind of acknowledging your own thoughts, but also we have a boss that does that. I've been waiting a month since last time we got together to talk about watching, which I finally got through.

You haven't been waiting a month. You've been waiting like slightly less than a month, because I told you to watch it and you fucking didn't. I didn't even love my ears. Like I said, you finally fucking did, and I got like a crazed text message and voicemail in the middle of nowhere, because you finally finished watching it.

Well, I had to know what they put my ears about, and if you watched it or didn't you had it much more? I had to have it. No, I know. It was a whole Manhattan reveal and all that.

It also has to do with a specific hate I had for a casting. I didn't look that close to his eyes. He's got dead eyes. When they're not seeing Jack, why do you mean?

Yeah, exactly. They're saying why they're fine, which is why I was okay with Manhattan. That's because they're white. Obviously there's no people that are going to look fine.

But it's still just like I said, I mean with Manhattan and the movie, you've had a little bit more physicality following the complete lack of eyes. That's true. They kind of like blended it in well. Was it really quite a piece?

I think it was. Yeah. But like I said, they knew that hat. We don't think that he's a bad person.

He just asked, well, before he's revealed. He was like, he had passed his entire performance. I thought it was pretty good. I didn't see a comment.

I wasn't sure. Yeah, for sure. I wasn't sure about what happened with white in the bottom line. So Madam Raveel was a giant surprise for me.

However, I just felt like he was never really connected with her at all. Like I didn't see their love relationship. Also shout out for him letting them do a junk shot. That was, that was, you haven't lived to.

You see Blue Junk? No, no, no. No, no, no, no. Especially compared to the Jank we saw earlier in the series.

You're like, oh my. It was, yes. When he goes to Antarctica and talks to Ozmandias. Jerry's arms fucking killed.

He's so good at Ozmandias. He's just the great walking. He doesn't everything he does. Everything he does is part of the world.

Ozmandias is part of a plane that you don't realize, which is very Ozmandias. And then when it's like, why is it statue? Why did you make him so old? I didn't put that together.

I actually want to talk about that. I've never done this costume yet, but continue. But yeah, when he was Antarctica and the camera flips to show. You didn't realize that they honed soloed him.

I'm soloed him. Oh my god. If he shot first off, maybe it was never him. But I mean, when they're doing the whole play in the first part before you truly realized it's on the end of the game.

Yeah, it's your end of the game. Like I said, and they're doing the play and they have the origin of life clones. And you're like, okay, that dick seems normal. Then you later on see actual man, Matt and dick.

You're like, oh, Jesus. That's definitely not a normal thing. Well, when you see, maybe he's not your man. She's smart.

Okay, hold on. Sorry. No, I love you. I love Jean Smart's fucking Renaissance with her working Fargo, her working watchman, and her working Legion.

Legion was a master piece. And she's phenomenal in this. She fits into a character and makes it comfortable. But like I said, she gets into a character and makes it comfortable.

You see her in so many different roles and she owns all of them. Well, she was like the dumb girl in the ending women. Like that was her role. Like you know what I mean?

Which was surprising. She was for Rose if I can do a whole girls reference. Tyler, you just made a golden girls reference. I was around.

I was around. She was like the dumb girl and then to see her be like acting powerhouse. And like I said, yeah, we're doing that. I don't have to go on.

I totally have to go on the time as well. No, don't care. We don't have to take it. That's bad.

No, we should do that. Emily was like, or we're a toaster there for a while. But when you see a James Smart go, that fucking dildo. And I was just like, man, it's a villain.

Licking a battery. Yeah. I'm not going to try to be as overly precious as Alan more is, and we will talk about Alan more being precious than anyone else. sailors and I will be like a verb in like vocabulary.

Do you see that thing where he was being interviewed and like list of his credits. I can't use a fucking wizard now but fuck you. It was like writer wizard. performance artist.

Is it bad that he seems like a maul Santa that lives in his suit and pees in it? Is it strange that maul Santa was a little more odd to see than wizard? Have you seen this fucking male? No, that's what I'm saying.

It's like wizard is believable. I can see him like white going in the wall and not realizing that some kid is talking to like this massively influential comp writer and he's just like, I want to pony. What does Alan Moore say? My little pony?

Is it mad that I totally went more in Ellis when he said that and not Alan Moore? You don't want Ellis wrote James Bond graphic novel? Yeah, it's pretty decent. I was thinking of what Warren Ellis would say if a kid said I want a pony and he said at least it's not a dog.

Warren would totally say that. I know that's ridiculous but that's where my brain would be. Warren would, what did he say that? Something about kittens being good reverse socks?

Yeah, yeah. But what did he say to me? He said he was a kid with cats because he had the smoking cat from Transmptive to Palantine but he really brought me in. Which is great, by the way.

That's my favorite graphic novel ever. Actually, he's been, uh, injection's been great. No, he's been doing graphic work. I mean, I'm still very Warren.

Yeah. It's magic in people with cell phones. It's great that he has a feel. You can tell when it's just work.

Well, he has a voice. He has a voice but sometimes they also have a large space. Yeah, sometimes people have an idea of an idea of a word. But sometimes people have more ideas.

Like where else? And don't just keep having John Depp in the show. Yeah. He's telling the same story.

Or his wife. When in doubt, just cast her wife in a part. Oh, and then when else I was like what did he say? Oh, no, that's in Burton.

I guess I except he did and then he got a new one and then they lived next to each other and then it kept being creepy. And that like works by creepy like really creepy. For the record, I feel like being married to some Burton is just generally creepy and all-fucking. I'm sure he's weirdly charming.

I can imagine sex with some Burton. That's gotta be pretty like interesting. Can you kind of like have a hands-free hook? No.

You're like Clay Nations or sex scenes? Like the hot knuckles. And it's scored by some Burton. It's going to be all right.

I've been having sex with Daniel Pinnils. I've been Daniel Pinnils. Yeah. I've been having an idea how many times I've banged at Wingo-Bingo a lot.

Especially specifically at Wingo-Bingo. I like little girls because I have that on vinyl. Banged of that a lot. Was that like specifically?

No. It was just because that was the record on the record. Ah, cool. You have a choice that just happened.

You mean it just happened? Only a lad. Yeah, it's only a lad. Yeah, exactly.

Little girls on it. Which we also remember. I like Little girls' video. No.

I don't think I've ever seen a video. I don't think I've ever seen a video. There's a video. And there's a very famous Lannister in it.

He's also been in Marvel and movies as a giant. What is it? Jordan Francis. I'm kidding.

Peter, Peter, Peter. I like Little girls' video. God, I love that he was like a giant dwarf. And was it anymore?

Like a wherner. Yeah, yeah. Stormbreaker. Well, I mean he was also Trask in the answer movies.

Yes, he was. That was the Future Pass. We didn't talk about that one. Yeah, we do like that one.

Yeah, we do like that one. I like Little girls' video. I like Little girls' video. I think it's maybe the reason why his dancing is so good in Space Pants.

Are you sure you're not thinking of safety pants? No, Space Pants. I eat the SNL video. Oh, yeah.

Yeah. Like I said, he's dancing in that. It's fucking slow on. Well, the record safety dance video is great.

It's all about Old West World. Yeah, I totally would have believed if he told me the secret that I was going to be in the show. He's not quite old enough for that. He's just one of the...

Well, I'll bet Jordan Prentice is the other fingers. Yeah. He was like, he was like... Is it him on an in-bruges?

Yeah, but yeah. He's getting high on the tranquilizer. He's like, he's like, he's like, he's like, he's classic. He's like, he's like, he's classic.

He's like, he's classic. He's got track's awful. The movie's good. You know, I wasn't mad at the soundtrack.

I'm not mad at the soundtrack. I feel like it actually made it feel a lot older than it was and dragged it down. I feel, I agree with that. It wasn't bad.

It was very timed. Yeah, I agree. I agree. The time frame for the music and the actual storyline, when it took place, it didn't kind of like line up.

We didn't have a ton of conversation about alphoves, but I don't need to hear a key style of something. You don't have to scribe the score to in-bruges. In a state. Close.

The literal op is at a baby driver. That it doesn't match up. You realize that baby driver is basically scratching every itch anyone has ever had about music matching up with their life. Oh yeah, baby driver was super insane.

The edit alone was great. The amount of times that they've had to have shot that scene where he's walking to get the coffee, it's a leak every like up. Well, not only that, I don't know if you noticed, but they were like lyrics to the song on the walls behind him. The window pane, the words on the window pane were lyrics to the song to spray paint on the wall.

I wasn't going to try some door closing to door open. I didn't really watch baby driver anyway. I mean, it's just crazy. I mean, it's just crazy.

It's one of those things where Wright has been working up to that probably is how he's a passion project. But this is one of those things. It's a passion project that doesn't suck like a lot of other passion projects. Yeah, who knew it's an I.

It's a beautiful thing. You're an excellent one. No one. Speaking of tonight.

Sorry, did we finish our conversation about... Watch this, great. Watch it. No, I still have a problem with their casting of...

maybe it's not even their casting. Maybe it's just what they decided to do with the eyes and I get that they were trying to make him more human and make him more involved with everything in the story. But he just totally had a fucking dead eyes. What's it becomes Manhattan?

The dead eyes make sense. Yeah, because I feel like once he becomes Manhattan, he's left that humanized version of himself. He's killing it. He's killing it because he didn't want to be Manhattan anymore.

I mean, well, that's... But once he knows... So all those things were... He knows he's going to become Manhattan again.

Well, that's the whole point. He has a blind spot back on all of it. Exactly. I feel like they're kind of throwing that growth.

I've realized that... To prove that the fact that he's not himself. Watchmen season 2 is still in the air, which is extremely watchmen 8. Watchmen season 2 is still in the air, which is very watchmen 8.

We never get any more. And that makes sense. They ended things how they need to end things. They might not even touch it anymore.

But they're still so much more of a universe that can be explored. Did you think it was weird that they'd wash and act away from premises to icon? Yes and no. Yes and no.

I mean, I see it much like the swastika. You find a similar one. You attach yourself to it. I definitely agree with the yes and no scenario because it's like...

I kind of agree with... Yes and no. I mean, I kind of agree with... How he was going about everything, sending his journals in, making sure his work out.

What I don't agree with is how they interpreted... Like how they took that... Exactly. Exactly.

It really can't. It really can't. And I feel like that's what they were going for and stating that although he meant right, it kind of just flew off the handle and all these people have a reason to do what they wanted. He was, if you have...

Manhattan on one end of the spectrum being the only... You know, Uberman, Superman. I'll bring you to know it. It's fun.

But that, you know, washer is kind of the other end of that where he was a... He was basically just a question about the most story. Right, right. But he was kind of the...

I don't want to say that, I don't want to say that, I don't want to say that. He's not the Joker, but he's kind of the Joker. But he was the most human. Right, right.

He was definitely a mortar. Against a superhuman. Exactly. So to have him go well, he stood for...

Against what was different and what was different brought to the squid and all that... I thought that he didn't shy away from the squid this time. No, he completely stood for what was different, but what they interpreted as, he stood for what was different was wrong. So he had a borderline antihero.

It was very borderline antihero. Complete xenophobia. Like I said, no, it makes complete sense. I totally get it, but I can see why people don't like it.

I also... Kind of had this aspect about his workings in the parts where he knew there was a reason behind what he was doing was right, but others... It's like you've got to watch... Yeah, other's viewing that might be like...

No, it's also famous. Yeah, that's a little way. He's still making everything better for everybody else. But watch that, so if you...

Yeah, okay, if you don't want to say what you're doing... I agree with it, but I can't let it stand. You're going to have to kill him. Exactly.

Exactly. To watch, I could either like, if I don't... Well, this goes of this person... It's like, it's like they're going to continue doing what they do.

To watch, exactly. Exactly. And that's exactly what they do with the more shocked test. The more shocked it was.

There was no grey. When they co-created the question, he was a... I'm a judicialist. I'm sorry, I objective this.

I'm objective this. I couldn't remember my fucking professional philosophy class. That's gonna leave out alone. It's gonna leave out alone.

And there's right and there's wrong. Like there is no moral grey. There's a fucking world of moral grey. I mean yeah, but that's not how Warsack is meant to be enough stuff mentally in his past where he only sees black and white either you're a good person in your time to be a good person We're not talking about Warsack or you want to have a few different conversations We'll have a few different conversations Looking Glass is amazing I was going to go for my tinnitus tangent I mean I don't know what to look like Oh, you're so muchman Yes, fuck on I understood that reference, I knew what to look like That entire episode where they do the origin of Looking Glass, they do careless whisper In a four different ways and it's fantastic Which I was impressed with by the way Well, life on Mars instrumental that stripped out instrumental I fucking yelled at him No, I got yelled at by Eric because I'm like this is life on Mars Two beats in and he's like are you sure?

I'm like wait a couple seconds and he's like fuck you That is one of the most hauntingly beautiful things I've ever heard I didn't know that I needed my perfect service Exactly And it's the same thing with you so I can't thank you Oh, please Please I'm doing fine I'm doing fine Like I said no, but the use of careless whisper on the origins of Looking Glass I'm sorry, Lube Man Lube Man What is We don't know they never explained anything It's not who, but why? We need season two Because I just expected like you know like do it down there and then pop back up like fucking penny-wise Yeah, and say like well blow down here, but like in the same voice like the guy from Mortal Kombat on that number The guy from Mortal Kombat goes doo-dee Like I want to be like oh blow down here and you're like what the fuck was that? We need season two Much confusion No, there's just so much more to explore As long as there's not a smoke monster or a cold repair I'm good That whatever I stand by mistake I feel like that's more for the boys I feel like that's more for the boys Smoke monster or bear creature I feel like that's something the boys will pull up the show with the boys You know what that's not? Yeah, no, he knows the boys gone No, but he doesn't understand my reference Oh, I do understand your Okay, I'm from fucking lost Yeah, everyone does Never gonna get that time back But like I said, um I've unfortunately continued for some reason it's not a total waste of time No, just watch that episode where her early son and mother and me down with it They're like think of a bunch of random numbers The gentleman!

The gentleman, oh that's right Yeah, yeah What was the name of the curse? I don't remember the name of the curse But however, like I said, I get everything that they did and it made sense And I actually had a pretty good building timeline But I still think that I get where they gave him the eyes that they fucking shouldn't They made the character a lot less understandable and less associated Because he basically just looks like a dick lot She's really upset with his eyes I'm obsessed with this dude Yeah, I mean it's blue, you kind of have to... No, no, no, no Both of you are staring at P&S I'm upset because he has dead eyes Well, one, it's blue The three of you are staring at P&S The three of you are looking at the other I feel like if there's a penis on the screen the pull up would look at it, honestly He tracked a python and invisible pants, that's what he did Yeah, yeah Looks like he's departmental Another baby one either, like a full-size Burmese Yeah, no, that was a full-grown dog That thing could strangle a fucking giraffe I was definitely impressed I was not having everything that I want to say before it ended So, hey, um, blue balls, literal blue balls And now the five of you said He was really sad that came to sell though He was definitely like, what do you do with your saw? So at the end of watchmen, um, Osmondius I'm pretty sure to fuck my own ass about dick Also for the record, it's not because it's blue, it's because it's penis It's Chinese Yeah, fairly large It's just cringed on an excitement?

No, you're kidding I think these tags I just keep bringing up with dick As a prototype I mean, they both barely Sorry, I'm not gonna make a record rule, no eye contact, no guessing Okay, so, let's go back to watchmen, why don't you buy the fucking farm? What? Why did you buy the farm? Why?

The farm, oh, you know, when she came into that random cobble and bunched by their farm in the next number of minutes and they didn't have any children Wait, what's happening? In watchmen Who wants to buy fun? Osmondius' daughter Oh, it's because that's where he was gonna end up Osmondius Yeah, I feel like that was just like a... Like a...

Like predicted, like a... Like where people were gonna end up? Manning site, man. That was just my question So that was just my end of sight, much like Superman I thought I was gonna see...

I thought I first up was a heavy Superman Yeah So would you rather see Superman? Osmondius Or the creepy fucking murder kid from Right Burn Wait, what's this big merry girl? It really is I think Right Burn was probably the best movie in there I thought Right Burn was a really good movie But I mean, it's the same thing Mark, Superman issue You have some weird creature crash land into your farm in a merge Well, no, the whole thing, I was going about the movie as like... This is what happened if like...

Callow wasn't a good guy, you know, and then I sent him up What if he gave into his own power? Exactly, exactly What was the... Kill Right Burn? Kill Right Burn Kill Right Burn Obviously fucked up the Manhattan And I was in the area of Manious ones It was Nandius, Superman and Driver So as Nandius, I'll still go with Ben's, but he never kept iconic Which would kill him?

I was in the area of my role right now What did you live? I was in the second I was going to ask if you were topper God, apparently he bought him I have to be right I mean Superman, it kind of goes without saying When he clinches his dick off, my dick is normal size Actually really depends on his preferences and I don't know Superman well enough to say that I can't think it's a bad thing in college and he was raised in Kansas I mean, he's got a point That man was definitely the experimental one No, he was raised in Kansas, he was not a wastey Never ever or everything Wonder Woman Wonder Woman just goes without saying that she's part of the lesbian She goes on an island full of women Yeah, so Aquaman's experimental one That guy has fucked a dog Here's the question is Aquaman doesn't even have a penis And if he does, is it like a fish penis? Where's the guy who's in the kitchen? I actually have a penis I know, it was just a reference I mean, that's even creepier, what if he just like Well, I mean, you want to go back to the boys Where are the guys sitting on the fucking dolphin?

Yeah For the dolphins sitting on him Also, if we're on the boys, also a dick scene And that when he's invisible in the restroom I think it's like the first episode in maybe No, it's not going for him And then he's spying on him In the restroom, right? And he's just invisible And he says something And she realizes that in order for him to be completely invisible, he's probably starting naked Yeah Which he is of course, and they just let him Unvisible on up and just perfect cock shot For like 10 seconds, maybe 10 seconds No, no, less than that That is a lot of space here, right? Count to 20 right now and imagine seeing a dick that long Man, this is getting weird Okay, let's move to the game tonight So you asked me to do your favorite Because I watched Watchmen and really hated the tetanus And Van Pansos You asked me to watch one thing Unfortunately, it has three things going against it One, it was DC Universe, so you can only watch it if you had DC streaming Or if you got it through Duck and Bloss, which we weren't going to have a ton Two, they canceled it immediately Like, I don't think it even aired, or maybe it aired like two episodes And then they canceled it And then they canceled it It was a financial shot It's actually... I feel like they're hopelessly saying this wasn't working for them They didn't have a way that it wasn't super hero It was a dark, gothic southern border The thing is that it's fucking excellent It's amazing, it's definitely a good self Definitely, the cinematography and the actual story Despite the fact that I rolled her fucking face Every time I say, I have a arcane It's really, really good Well, the fact that you root for an arcane, which if you read Swamp Thing You never root for an arcane, like when you saw Jason Blood in Arrow And I'm like, the last thing was Blood, it's kind of end up being whoever it was Which is funny, because if you remember Brother Blood But if you remember, he ends up being the ex-wife of Chloe on Lucifer Oh yeah, Chloe is direct to you Is that right?

Is that right? I don't have to look it up I think it's given a little hundred I think it's the same act Actually, do we find him attractive? Actually, don't Okay, I'm not saying he's hideous He's not a chud He's definitely not the most attractive I don't think he's a attractive person I can see where the book was I don't think I'm unattractive, because the characters he played make me think that I could rob them into the dirt Oh, I don't know, when you find out that Detective Tush is in the improv, it's endearing I mean that all of his improv is about Lucifer Pass Are you saying that you do improv and don't go towards Lucifer? Pass And we're not going to talk about it a lot, or at all But I'm going to say I love that Lucifer popped up on the crisis Yeah, that was a good one That was a good one That was really cool Moving on Speaking of tonight's Small things Yes, so I have notes, oh my god do I have notes Like I said, I was shocked at how good it was And really mad that it was tangible before he even saw it Well, did you read why?

I have read a little bit of why Please educate me No, I don't mean to explain it to you, just read about why it's canceled Basically, I've canceled pretty much as soon as they got aired, because they couldn't afford it If you want to go and leave on this, it's fine or jump in So basically they had a $40 million budget And they were going to fill it in I want to say Atlanta or something Mostly in Georgia It's Georgia It's Georgia Shot, because they have the Georgia It's basically Louisiana Yeah, it's basically Louisiana The most of the physical filming was in Portland, Atlanta And they were going to have some kind of tax rebate that was Whatever You find something they canceled it because they have a tax vote No, so some bean counter fucked up the contract And Warner Brothers ended up on the line for 23 or 28 million Like 28 million Yeah, of a $40 million budget And Warner Brothers went cool, we're putting this out So It's not a complete last but like we may come back with me not But like that's it and we figure out Yeah, some bean counter didn't carry a fucking one No, I think in that year, because I know life will punish them more So than we ever could Somebody would say that they were forced, they had to No, Warner Brothers didn't do anything wrong here Well, no, due to the budget, they really couldn't do much besides Clean it out and not before it with it But like I said, the guy who made the mistake He needs to get F-O-O Oh, he's probably fired before he knew he made the mistake I know he runs Warner Brothers, but that motherfucker got to pop it Like I said, like I said, he will never find his boss He's chilling with one thing right now I guess you can't even mad with Warner Brothers about that But this was a really good series It really was Critical darling, extremely well acted Here's the thing In zeroing for fuck's sake is great and it's so good I'm not saying that Why is it not just starting to be tornado full of fucking sharks? I will say another one of the things that kind of hurt the swamp thing was Because it was streaming on DC Universe A lot of the light was taken from it because of the whole animated Harley Quinn series They were pushing that out so hard with the fantasy and the commercials that Well, they gave up on swamp things Well, no, exactly, they were almost using that to make it so hard And it's like fucking awesome It's so great That's great, but nobody really has great passion But I was like, this is fun, we're like watching Okay, let's move on to the next one Early Quinn, oh, I'm hoping they get alternate success The thing is that No, they'll get all the classics and episodes It doesn't necessarily have a dedicated following People will watch it, but it comes out I think we're not on a hard way I talk about it a lot and I've only seen the first couple of plays But the people just Sounding and sonotography on swamp thing Compared to animated ones And they have seen it And you see, and once again we won't talk about it much But you see Derek Mears as one thing During the crisis Right And everything is critical to our Everything DC Universe And remember, DC Universe is at least a year or two years older Which sounds insane in the digital age To Disney Plus Here's the thing, DC Universe That's up DC Universe did not have the fan base or the money to do what they wanted to do The only reason why Marvel streaming is doing okay is because it's not Marvel streaming It's Disney Plus I agree, definitely They wanted to make up for all the mistakes that they did DC has definitely got the ideas It's definitely there They have the capability Like I said, I'm not saying they don't have good ideas and good shows They just need to try and focus somewhere completely differently Oh yeah, Infinite Crysis on Infin-Earth I thought was blended so well They were DC kills on TV Oh definitely We have more conversations One of the things that we do And DC kills on TV and animation Sorry I know that the CW is in a major fucking network But DC TV on the CW is phenomenal I love Arrow since it didn't get out Did the quality go down? Yeah, a lot But it also earned a full fucking universe I actually started a legends I believe it was Before I started Arrow And it was legends that actually drew me to Watching the run It's first a whole universe And the thing with legends Like the most is that they actually fucking rescued Constantine Because Constantine was a phenomenal show Around that new run time It was definitely that I guess it's a wrong network Wrong time, but it actually done by it HBO or Showtime It probably would have made it But not by a network Especially based on where it was going Yes, it had a very Doctor Who-ish vibe to it So what I said, the CW has all of the really good fucking DC shows It's not number one network Did DC really think DC streaming was going to do better? Yes Especially considering that DC animated has not done good The last one Five years?

They've been hit or missed Most of them even heard that Batman and Harley come as awful Yeah, no one liked it Just as dark as good Yeah One of them in Bloodlines Which I think we talked about briefly Maybe last month But I mean, what was the one where Superman was actually in Mexico? Was it- No, it was- Superman ended up in Mexico and was raised by- Was it- You mean he ends up in Russia and ends up being Red Sun? Oh, Red Sun, that's what I was thinking Actually, that's not bad, they haven't put it out yet It was a DC where everything was just completely different Is it like Flashpoint? No Oh, got some monsters Thank you Yeah, you see, that was a monster Yeah, you have half-som Yeah, like I said, you have Latinos in here Batman is circling struggles in their power systems Thank you And one one was- Yes Oh, take another round please Oh no, no, that's basically Wonder Woman Well, no, no, no, it was Artemis Oh, you're right, it was Artemis What, I'm just saying, they really think that- He doesn't know about weird brain Anyway Like I said, did DC really think they had enough to support a streaming network?

Well, yes, they're really- Considering what shit loads they've got Depends, Superman, all of the movies, I mean- Like I said- And like 25,000 comics Well, I kind of had- And a bunch of new original content, like two- Control Titans? Not only that, I kind of felt like when they had realized that their whole movie aspect was kind of just- Dad- In the dirt, so I feel like they kind of just came to this conclusion where it's like, Hey, we should just focus on what we're good at And they thought that up too- And they thought that up too- And they did, yeah, they did I agree Because they've always- You watch any Marvel animation, it's complete shit Oh, yeah, it's almost- It's almost- Even their missions Well, not only that, I just love the DC DC was never afraid to use like explicit language or trying to humanize their characters, even if they weren't animated, they would still give them very good- I have yet to meet anyone who actually paid for DC streaming Yeah, I mean- Well, I've been along the back-plus I'm kind of using my friends, so I, you know- I only have Disney Plus because Verizon gave us a year free DC didn't- Yeah, I could be DC's, you know, like people who have had to themselves to Verizon or anything- Like, Netflix or something, you know- That's great, you're gonna talk. You have Batman, that's about it. Well, all- DC television aside, I am actually pretty excited for Birds of Prey movie Not because- Not because- Plus of Prey will go two ways, really good, or really bad, it's gonna go two ways It'd be two- It could be two- Again, like I said, Birds of Prey will be one of two things, really good- really good or really fucking terrible and the problem is with the Joker, specifically Joker, I thought it was gonna be fucking awful.

It was really good and it made a fuckload of money. I feel like Verte I will see it for one reason. I will see it for one reason. I will see it for one reason.

If I can bring some sensibilities through the suicide, and you have like those like weird shit skilies. I have to tell you, I'm really angry. So my friend is angry about Suicide Squad for one reason. See not getting seen.

Suicide Squad delayed Guardians 3. It considered dick. Technically, technically it did delay Guardians 3 but that was also- No the Disney. That was also like, yeah that was a dispute between Disney and gun.

For like a seven year old tweet about like child rape. It was like, it was against death rape technically. I was like, I wish people could see her reactions. But that was all Disney's doing.

James Gunn was all on board and- James Gunn movie before he got hooked up with this. Yeah, I was like, what's wrong with you and Juliet? I know that you have a little pop chain so I'm not sure if it's filthy, or not. She turns into a cow monster with a once again?

We're going back to this giant dick. Yeah. That's a three foot dick. On a cow.

On a cow. Yeah. Get that out of here. Get that image right out of here.

Okay I think we're moving on. Speaking of tonight, I thought that he liked that. I've said it four times. I saw the band gold finger with mustard plug.

I went to go see with former co-host of shooting the gap Ryan Silva. My ears ran for the whole day after I saw this. That's actually what I posted online. I was like getting old and my ears were ringing but goddamn.

Gold finger has not left us stuck. I've had counting the days stuck in my head for a week and a half. They actually did play their covers of 99 Red Balloons. Nice.

And just like Kevin. Also just to clarify this is gold finger and not gold and I. Or gold number. That's not making any double O7.

That's not making any double O7 references here. If we're really not. Gold finger is a 90s goblin fan. So what I wanted to reference earlier is in Watchmen you see Osmondius.

Who's completely gold. That's stanking at the show. What are you talking about? I mean at least it's not about Manhattan's eyes.

That's true. Does it? Osmondius is gold in case. Much like Han Solo in Carbonite.

She does. Oh that's what you meant by Han Solo. Okay I get that reference now. Okay.

So they actually have. But when he's trapped in that statue what does he have ten out? A gold finger. It was a great show.

Thank you. I'm getting old. I gotta say that. Go to concerts.

They were handing out. They had jars of earplugs and I was like fuck you. I don't need an earplugs. This is a fucking punk show.

I needed earplugs. Oh my god. It wasn't a successful rock show if you can't hear after. It was all muffled.

It was great. We destroyed a bunch of perking rock. How love is this? I thought we snuck into the gothic at one point.

Thought or did. We did not. We snuck into the most barbecue downtown on Broadway with a bowling alley in it. I thought we would snuck into the back of the gothic.

I was like dude I gotta pee. I gotta pee. I was like yeah come on. It was like back door on the most barbecue.

I think we're walking into the gothic. I'm like dude I gotta go to QR code tickets because we're technologically advanced. And he's like no I'm worried about it. I'm like no they're gonna ask for tickets.

And I walk in and it's like a mini bowling alley. I'm like what kind of fever dream am I about to pee in. And then he goes oh no this is the most barbecue next door to the gothic. I was like well I think I've been in the gimbal tickets but still like when it's like the alleyway like what the fuck.

He's a back door. And then we went into the gothic. Dude right in my butt. She wants a high five.

Of course the jungle right? Yeah. It was great. We got great seats.

Seats were on the balcony. I may have hit on a married woman by the end of the show but it worked out. You know what I mean? You said she was your dick touch?

It worked out because she was married. It worked out because she didn't care. She was married. Yeah.

Well. No. Doug doesn't really know if there was an incident. Yes.

No. We will not talk about that later. Go listen to damn Doug's and Russi's if you want about the world's worst slump buster from Doug's love life. If we're going to move the fuck on.

Hold on. So penis. Well I got to finish the married woman's story. You'll get different.

So she was rock out the entire show. She was super cute. And I guess her husband was down the floor for the after-show. Skanking.

I guess she was just like that. You know what I mean. But I really did go. The swinger age is dead.

If you're not. I was like are you married? And she was like okay cool. And she was like this man's been going both of you.

It wasn't creeped up on her and then go like my friend Ryan. That was really charming. If she was single I think you might have a chance. But she was married and not into that.

So you didn't. So. He's definitely smooth. I thought it was a good thing.

If you're not married I'll marry. Yeah. No. It's definitely a good way of showing things.

Yeah. Yeah. I mean I think I'm not married. Yeah.

No. It's definitely a good way of showing things. Yeah. Without actually being like.

I think. I definitely like. And that was rubbing my groin up against her. It wasn't that.

It wasn't that. It was like you know what, it would be funny. You felt like it was a plate trimming wave trying to start a conversation. Yes.

I mean it was definitely a good move. Well I see a golfing or a game where they come in March probably. Because they're coming with a lead rub with fish. Oh fuck you.

Nice. Nice. They signed in my head. And you washed it off.

Oh my god. Was I going to get a tattooed? I mean that's what a normal person. We're going to completely shift.

So. Alright. Lasnadius came back completely golden-cased. That was not a shift at all.

We cannot. We're exactly back to where we started. We are. So if you're watching Mandalorian lately and when he actually transports his bounty he's completely carbonite in cases though.

Yeah well he gives them the option. I can mean you in warm. I can mean cold. I'm assuming that they're referencing the bringing in cold what insinuates anyway these are going to.

So between watching two of those. One of those bounties would have the blue mountains on like coarsely. But between the two of those I totally have a nightmare recently where I was convinced everyone was being stored in cold and I shouldn't rip them open yet. So apparently.

Never open original package. Yeah. I mean you wouldn't open your pop dolls without their sleeping. So telling me not to touch that dick?

No. I didn't admit. Matt's. Primed vacuum sealed.

Slammed. That's not how we got a kid. That is not how we got a kid movie. This is pretty slab.

So moving on to Mandalorian. You finally fucking watched it. I finally fucking watched it. The last one we talked about it.

Like I said, however you didn't watch Watchman and you asked me to watch the Swamp Thing is the favours of watching Watchman. Yes. Both of those were good choices. I think they were made excellent choices.

So hold on. You fucking care about spoilers don't you? I really don't. I never fucking have.

So let me just have to put it at the beginning of the description. Let me just wrap up on fucking Swanson then. God this is more of a test than I thought it would be. That's our fucking podcast.

Yes I'm more. So my notes about Swanson. Finale great. There's a post credit scene.

Also great. You've seen this? No we've been sick. We all knew.

You've been sick. You've been sick. You've been sick. You've been sick.

You've watched it like I asked him to. Fuck. Wurtoy would eventually become the Floronic Man. Awesome name by the way.

I thought of that one for motion. That's what shit. I'm a man made of flowers. I'm gonna be called the Flor-Man basically.

It's real Landipienus. Didn't have a penis. Yeah it's just like weird blooming bud down there, you know. It's just a yet sunflower.

No but, it'll be fine. It'll be fine. But obviously Wurtoy would become Floronic Man, kind of the opposite swamp thing. Blue Devil.

Yes and that's what I'd say. Yeah I'd say it was built as a.. Eagle. Built as a backdoor pilot for a blue devil.

This is what I'd say. That's what I'd say. Right. Yeah.

a backdoor pilot for a blue devil show. It really was. It really was though. But you don't even see something like Tric with my love voice?

What I like to see is that you didn't really need to see it. You knew immediately what was going on once you see that glibby. You didn't know how you're going to get there but you knew where you're going. All the more reason that you sat there is not going to continue.

And I think they cancelled it immediately because of a shitty fucking error. I mean it's supposed to say they won't bring it back or touch back on it eventually. They tried to sell it around it didn't happen. So all the original actors and people that worked on it are doing other things now.

And financially in both like schedule wise. I should even stick ruin something that could be really phenomenal. And that's happened for so many things. I mean we got really lucky with Lucifer.

But it could have gotten fucking effed in the egg really easily. Well that's where the next season goes. Anyway. It's the end.

They don't need to go on after that. Yeah but Lucifer is at hell right now. Yeah. And it's like that can only go one of two ways.

I was going to start talking about Lucifer and Helen Hot Legs by Rod Stewart playing by the way. Also the Mandalorian. So we love the Mandalorian. I do want to say hold on real quick.

I'm going final payoff on the Alan Moore conversation from I don't know 40 minutes ago. I'm texting my ride. The anatomy lesson is one of the most well known comics ever. It was Alan Moore's introduction as the British Invasion of the comics.

It revolutionized war and... It really did. It started off all around. Post-DC.

He brought in like literary you know. I'd even go as far as saying that he opened specific doors for other comic book genres. The real game in war and all this. Exactly.

Exactly. It was the British Invasion comics. He paved the trail with them. But where did you think?

Where's Captain Britain? I was doing the Britannia. That's Marvel. That's Marvel.

And isn't that right, Morrison? No. I'm not going to say so. I'm not going to say so.

I'm not going to say so. Captain Britannia. That's a real character. It is real character.

And I'm pretty sure it's DC. Is it Morrison? I don't know if it's Morrison, but I know it's DC. I feel like he talked about it in Super Gods.

Oh, are you thinking of Miracle Name? No. He was a country related name. That was Alan Moore.

Yeah. But anyway, real quick. A negative lesson. That issue one.

I'm going to think that an English each one can go teach this. And two, it totally revamped Swamp Things whole origin, which was that as opposed to being a human that thinks it's a plant, that thinks it's a human. Which works so well. So well.

We developed the whole series. We're going to talk about the autopsy scene and Swamp Thing. I wouldn't say verbatim Alan Moore's comic, but it's closed. You can't think of the name of the character of the actor, but continue.

Which one? The super specific scientist that's hired to come in and research. Jason Wertrude played by Kevin Durant. He's a really good looking man.

They make him look crazy, perfect, fucking mad scientist. Well, he was in lots of stuff. Well, he was in the stream. Yeah.

He was a blob in X-Men and Coorcher. If you actually see him as a self, he's actually a really good looking man. But the way they styled him for Swamp Thing is a long crazy scientist. He's a real strange.

There wasn't a scene with him in it where he was speaking or something that I didn't make eye contact. Well, he obviously had something in there. I mean, yeah. But it also just had to do with his hair and his eye.

But it just worked well. But the way he shot in the stream was in the shot up because he was kind of a bigger guy. Yeah. Yeah.

And Jason Wertrude did, yeah, sure. It kind of worked out. But him taking out the organs and going, well, it's a heart. But it doesn't really work.

It's a word of deliver. It's a word of deliver. And lungs and whatever. That was verbatim from the comic.
