In March of 2023, Bettersten Wade called Jackson Mississippi police to report her 37 year old son, Dexter Wade, missing. She was hesitant to reach out to the authorities after they’d killed her brother, but it was the only option she had. They told her they’d look into his disappearance, but what she never expected was the fact that the knew he was already dead and didn’t tell her. They also didn’t tell her that it was one of their officers who killed him roadside accident. Months later she learned the truth - that they’d been hiding his body in an unmarked grave.
