279 - Bournemouth's Eu-FOUR-ia At Newcastle

from Back Of The Net - The AFC Bournemouth Podcast · host Back of the Net - The AFC Bournemouth Podcast

On Saturday, AFC Bournemouth fans made the LONGEST trip of the Premier League to face Newcastle at St James Park. Andoni Iraola's Cherries hammered the Magpies in a phenomenal performance which saw them score FOUR, three of them coming from Justin Kluivert - his second hattrick of the season. We know the Cherries have had some big results in their recent history, but is that the best of the lot? We think it is, given the context of having the bare bones of a squad, with kids on the bench and Daniel Jebbison being the only senior outfield player outside of the eleven. Plus, on the pitch, Cherries had no right back - with our centre-midfielder deputising, no striker - with our winger plying his trade there, and add to that, the worrying form of Newcastle - who had won nine in a row, much of it inspired by the most in form striker in world football, as well as a powerful midfield that would be the envy of many Premier League sides. And Cherries beat them. But it wasn’t a tight 1-0. We battered them. And it could have been worse for the Magpies. Sam and Tom go over the events of the day.
