from The Movies · host Daniel Berrios

"18 1/2," set in 1974, follows Connie (Willa Fitzgerald), a White House transcriber who stumbles onto the political unholy grail of the time: the missing audio (18-and-a-half minutes long) of President Richard Nixon discussing the Watergate Hotel break-in with one of his cohorts. What's on this tape that couldn't be released to the public? Connie needs to know and teams up with a New York Times reporter named Paul (John Magaro) to find out. Unwilling to just hand over the tape, Connie agrees to check into a hotel with Paul so they can listen to the tape together and then go their separate ways. But as can usually be expected in the movies, plans never end intact.---Follow The Movies on Instagram & LetterboxdFinancially support the podcast via the tip jar!
