#28. Britt Dowd - Lead With Culture Because You Can't Measure Everything

“ I definitely don't want to be the guy that makes it and inst friends with his team”  Britt Dowd** ( @lawncareleaderspodcast ) runs an amazing podcast that at first glance is about landscaping and the green industry but once you start listening you understand its so much more. Britt started his company, Green Again Lawns back on 2009. It was a him and I operation and he didn't always have the answers but that didn't stop him from progressing forward. He started educating himself with audio books and then transitioned into podcasts. As he learned and become more experienced his successes kept rising as well. This sparked his interest to share his own story and start a podcast of his own.  Once He discovered Anchor it was game over and he launched the “ lawn care leaders podcast” where he brings on experts, talks business and documents his companies journey.  His best advice to anyone trying to sell things or run a business?  1) Start with sales. You have to be closing deals or you don't have a business  2) Increase profitability  3) Delegate tasks  He believes in doing a lot for and with his teams, it could be golfing or a cool incentive but its because he understands you can't track everything.
