28: Humans Grow and Adapt

Recorded October 24, 2020 The episode this week opens as Nate is grieving over the loss of his Synology and the hoops he is finding that he needs to jump through for it to come back to life. Since the main media today opens with a boy travelling to Tokyo looking for a job, Nate and Ryan decide to talk about a few of the jobs they've held down in the past. This includes everything from Web-development to working in a boiler room. After that glimpse into their past, Ryan brings up BioShock and what about it's narrative choices made it a wonderful game. After all that, have a drink of a rather odd combo in Salt and Litchi Pepsi. For the main media this week, Ryan had Nate watch Weathering With You (also known as Tenki no Ko) a full length Animated film directed by Makoto Shinkai who also directed Your Name.
