After taking a bit of a winding path on the way to becoming a MT-BC (more on that, here), I was able to finish my B.A. in Communication Disorders from Truman State University and M.A. in Music Therapy from the University of Iowa. I’ve had the opportunity and honor to use music therapy with children, teens, and adults with communication disorders, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and those diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. On the side, I enjoy all things web design, photography, writing e-books (“Children’s Songs for Therapy”, and, “Listen, Sing, Speak!”), jogging with Jolene (my 7 year old pup), solving crimes via Matlock & Murder She Wrote, eating too many fried pickles, and getting lost in new cities."Follow on Instagram or Facebook!Check out Music Therapy Ebooks!See Rachels post on ASHA regarding co-treatment between speech language pathology and music therapy!Download your free ebook... about writing an ebook!
