#28 / Jerry Marzinsky, Schizophrenia and parasitic entities

Joining us on the Spirit Box for episode 28 is Jerry Marzinsky. Prior to retirement, Jerry was a licensed psychotherapist. He has over 35 years of experience working with schizophrenic and other psychiatric patients in state hospitals, state prisons, and hospital emergency rooms. Jerry’s formal academic training comprises a B.A. in Psychology from Temple University, a Master’s Degree in Counseling from the University of Georgia, and two years of study in a Ph.D. Psychology program. This show is quite an important one for me after my own experiences and research and I had previously cited Jerry in my own lectures juxtaposing his testimony against the concepts of Obsession and Waswas. You can find that lecture in the show notes.  Jerry outlines his journey from the conventional psychiatric understanding of schizophrenia as an internal problem to a position of believing it to be an external one. An external one that is the result of parasitic entities that prey on human beings. In the first hour he describes the patterns he spotted in patients throughout his career that led him to his position and in his opinion the failings of conventional psychiatric treatments. He goes on to describe his conversation with the entities themselves through his patients and their warnings to him culminating in a startling experience that left him deeply shaken.
