M A X • W E D E K Ä M P E R (@maxwede) (Hamburg | GER) - is originally from Bremen but has been living in Hamburg for almost 10 years now. The 29-year-old music promoter has always had a hand in the music bizz: He started off by organizing electronic and artsy events with his hometown collective “Kleinerdrei”, he hosted the “Crate Cravings” series in Hamburg feat. artists like Carl Craig, DJ Boring, Max Graef and worked for Diynamic Music (a Hamburg based label feat. Solomun, Stimming, Kollektiv Turmstraße etc.). We’re glad Max finally feels drawn towards genres like disco, italo, afro, brazil & house - which brings him to us. The techno market is swamped, he says, and ambitious as he is, he’s now planning a disco/house event series rolling all over Germany where he wants to show off international artists as well as locals and newcomers. An inspiring plan that we as a collective and musical platform most certainly support. But now let us give MAX the spotlight for a while. For us he’s recorded a sun-drenched mix of drums, sounds and warm colors. A great soundtrack for a careless summer getaway, a holiday ride on the Vespa, an hour spent at the lake side. Especially after a long and exhausting lockdown phase - we could all need a sweet escape.
