28. Music To Our Ears: A Magical Conversation With Duluth Musician Charlie Parr

from For The Love Of Duluth · host Tom Jamison

Duluth is no stranger to talent, with the likes of Bob Dylan and Trampled By Turtles calling it home before making it big in the music industry. Charlie Parr is another one of those household names and after our chat with him, it's easy to see why. Born in small town Minnesota, he picked up his first guitar at just eight years old and thirteen albums later, he has still never had a formal lesson. Part blues and part country with a sprinkle of songwriting magic, he draws from life experiences in a candid and distinctive way that is uniquely him, playing 250 shows in an average year and calling Duluth home when he is off the road. The multi-instrumentalist also just released his first book. His story is as incredible as the songs he plays and you can hear it in his own words on this very special episode of For The Love Of Duluth
