#28. Reducing dementia risk: Empowerment through lifestyle choices with Susan Saunders

from Make Movement Matter with Wendy Welpton · host Wendy Welpton

In this episode, I’m talking to author and health coach Susan Saunders who shares her own experience with dementia and its impact on her family.  After navigating this incredibly challenging phase in her life (and having witnessed her mother go through the same experience with Susan’s grandmother) she became determined to look for ways she could help herself try to prevent dementia.  Susan then went on to share her knowledge with individuals through her coaching and with a wider audience through her books, to help us understand how important it is to think about our lifestyle choices now, particularly for women around the time of menopause. The conversation focuses on mitigating dementia risk through lifestyle changes, and as always, offers practical strategies to try to reduce dementia risk and empower you to take control of your cognitive well-being.
